衷心祈愿佛法之灯长明不灭。此外，自噶当巴德谢等以来，依仗历代卓越圣贤的恩德，在多康大藏区的宁玛派寺院中，显密佛法总的来说，特别是别解脱戒律方面，保持着自宗寂护的戒律传承未曾衰败。期间，自嘉赛贤遍泰等时期传承下来的教规，虽然分化出极其繁多的名目，没有机会在此收录和讲述。如今，为了显密佛法命脉不绝，对于弘扬三轮事业从不懈怠，具有坚定发心者，乃是白玉南嘉绛曲林寺的教主，成就自在莲花生大士的转世化身，名为吉美图丹谢珠曲吉扎央贝桑波，作为佛教和众生的怙主，安住于世的善缘已为众人所共见。祈愿他老人家继续以长寿金刚之身住世，使堪布、阿阇黎、法三者的佛法光明，遍布虚空，直至虚空穷尽。无与伦比的导师之恩，由历代堪布传承。如是传来的历史，犹如琵琶之音。愿其悦耳动听，使具善缘者心生信赖。成为引生定解的使者。此理并非我等愚昧之辈所能承担，但恐圣者之传记湮没，故将口述记录下来，应无过失。然若有错谬之处，实乃我之过失。恳请各位智者海涵。愿如实讲述事物真相之善，成为佛法兴盛之吉祥。以美妙的三法衣庄严身，以善说三藏庄严语，以殊胜的三学庄严心，愿获证世间无与伦比之圣位。如是，此名为《宁玛派戒律传承堪布世系略传·明灯补遗·引生定解之使者》，乃是于恶劣时期，红风肆虐之际

I sincerely pray that the lamp of the Dharma will shine brightly and never fade away. Furthermore, since the time of Kadam Dampa Deshek and others, relying on the kindness of the successive eminent saints, in the Nyingma monasteries and Dharma centers in the Do-Kham region of Greater Tibet, the precious teachings of Sutra and Tantra in general, and especially in the aspect of individual liberation vows, the tradition of self-discipline of Zhiwa Tsho (Śāntarakṣita) has been maintained without decline. During this period, although the precepts transmitted from the time of Gyalsé Shenpen Thaye and others have been divided into extremely numerous categories, there has been no opportunity to collect and narrate them here. Now, in order to ensure that the lifeblood of the Sutra and Tantra teachings is not cut off, the one who never shrinks from propagating the activities of the three wheels, and who has a firm resolve, is the master of the Palyul Namgyal Jangchub Ling monastery, the supreme incarnation of the accomplished Padma Norbu, named Jigme Thubten Shedrub Chökyi Drayang Palsangpo, who is the protector of the teachings and beings, and whose good fortune to live in this world has been recognized by all. I pray that he will continue to live in this world with the nature of the immortal Vajra body, so that the light of the teachings of the three, namely Khenpo, Acharya, and Dharma, will spread throughout the sky until the end of the sky. The kindness of the incomparable teacher is passed down through the lineage of Khenpos. The history of how it came to be is like the sound of a lute. May it be pleasing to the ears of those with good fortune and inspire faith. May it become a messenger that leads to definite understanding. This principle is not something that ignorant people like us can bear, but fearing that the biography of the holy one will be lost, I have recorded the oral accounts, which should be without fault. However, if there are any errors, it is my fault. I ask all the wise ones to forgive me. May the virtue of truthfully describing the nature of things become the glory of the flourishing of the precious Dharma. May the body be adorned with the beautiful three Dharma robes, may the speech be adorned with the well-spoken three baskets, and may the mind be adorned with the excellent three trainings, may one attain the unsurpassed holy state in the world. Thus, this is called "A Brief Biography of the Khenpo Lineage of the Nyingma Vinaya Tradition: An Addendum to the Lamp, A Messenger Leading to Definite Understanding," which is in a time of evil, when the red wind of the times is raging.
