Having abandoned the ten non-virtues, practice the ten virtues. Protect the lives of others, give generously, and so on. Guard vows, speak truthfully, and so on. Reconcile hatred, speak peacefully and justly. Speak meaningful words, reduce desires. Cultivate loving-kindness and compassion, practice the Dharma. I rejoice in all these virtues. I urge that in all the boundless realms of the ten directions, For those Buddhas who have recently attained complete enlightenment, May the wheel of Dharma be turned swiftly and extensively. I pray that you know this matter with your manifest wisdom. I pray that the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, upholders of the teachings, and virtuous spiritual friends, For all those who wish to demonstrate nirvana, I pray that they do not pass into nirvana, but remain in this world. Representing all of these, I dedicate all the virtues I have accumulated in the three times, For the benefit of all sentient beings. May all beings quickly attain unsurpassed enlightenment, And uproot the cycle of the three realms from its foundation. May the merit of this quickly ripen for me, Pacifying the eighteen untimely deaths in this life. May I possess a healthy, youthful, and strong body, May I have inexhaustible wealth like the Ganges in summer. May I be free from the harm of demonic enemies and practice the sacred Dharma. May all my wishes that are in accordance with the Dharma be fulfilled as desired. May I accomplish great benefit for the teachings and beings. May I accomplish a meaningful human life. May I and all those connected to me, Immediately after passing away from this life, The incarnate Buddha Amitabha, Surrounded by a retinue of monks and nuns, Appear manifestly before me. Seeing them, may my mind be joyful and feel happy, May I be free from the suffering of death. The eight Bodhisattva brothers, Come to the sky with miraculous powers. To guide us to Sukhavati, May you guide and lead the way. May I develop fear of the unbearable suffering of the lower realms, May I develop fear of the impermanence of the happiness of gods and humans. From beginningless time until now, It has been a long time in this cycle of existence, May I develop renunciation of this. Even if one can be reborn as a human from a human, I have experienced countless births, old age, sickness, and death, There are many obstacles in the degenerate age of the end times, The happiness of humans and gods, Is like food mixed with poison, May I have no desire for it. May homes and such, like houses in a dream, be known as not truly established. From the inescapable ocean of samsara, like escaping from a prison of great crimes, may I flee without looking back to the realm of Sukhavati. Cutting off all clinging and attachment, like a vulture escaping from a snare, in the western sky, countless world realms, having traversed in an instant, may I go to Sukhavati. There, having seen the face of the Buddha Amitabha, manifestly dwelling, may all obscurations be purified. In the heart of the lotus flower, the most excellent of the four kinds of birth, may I take birth by means of miraculous birth. In an instant, having perfected the body, may I obtain a body endowed with marks and signs. Due to doubt about not being born, for five hundred years, may I possess happiness and enjoyment within it. Although hearing the Buddha's speech, the flower does not open, the fault of delaying seeing the Buddha's face, may such a thing not happen to me. As soon as I am born, may the flower open, may I see the face of Amitabha. By the power of merit and miraculous power, from the palm of my hand, clouds of offerings, having emanated immeasurably, may I make offerings to the Buddha and his retinue. At that time, may the Tathagata extend his right hand and place it on my head, may I receive the prophecy of enlightenment. Having heard the profound and vast Dharma, may my own mind be ripened and liberated. May Avalokiteshvara and Mahasthamaprapta, the two foremost sons of the Buddha, bless and hold me. Each day, countless Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions, when they come to worship Amitabha and to see that field, may I attend and honor all of them, and may I obtain the nectar of Dharma. With unobstructed miraculous power, in the morning, may I go to the Abhirati field and the Glorious field, and the Karmaparipurana and Ghanavyuha fields. To the Buddhas Akshobhya, Ratnasambhava, Amoghasiddhi, Vairochana, and so on, may I request empowerment, blessings, and vows. Having made offerings with many offerings, in the evening, may I arrive in Sukhavati itself without difficulty.
