A concise guide to performing the cremation purification ritual based on the Bhagavan Akshobhya (Immovable One) practice. A concise guide to performing the cremation purification ritual based on the Bhagavan Akshobhya (Immovable One) practice. A concise guide to performing the cremation purification ritual based on the Bhagavan Akshobhya practice, completed. Namo Guru Natha Akshobhya Padaya. (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) Here, for those who wish to permanently sever the obscurations in the continuum of others through the Bhagavan, the Protector, the Immovable One, the method of engaging in the cremation ritual is as follows: That is, in the treatises of Jowo (Atiśa), it says, "If it is a corpse, it should be dispelled with mustard seeds." And in the Dharani itself, it says, "Having recited over earth, mustard seeds, or water, whichever is available, sprinkle it on the dead body, or bathe it and then cremate it underneath." For those who wish to put the meaning of these words into practice, first, the construction of the fire pit for the fire offering is as follows: a brick-built fire pit, a dug-out fire pit, etc., or if that is not possible, draw eight large equal circles on a flat platform, and from the center, draw two circles of twelve and four finger-widths respectively, and within them draw the lines of an eight-petaled lotus, making various lotuses, and in the center draw a blue vajra. From the east of the eight petals, draw the eight auspicious symbols such as the glorious knot in a clockwise direction. In the four corners, draw crescent moon vajra symbols. Then, sprinkle and bathe the corpse with water that has been recited over with mantras. Wrap it in a clean white cloth. Fumigate it with gugul (benzoin). Drive away (evil influences) with mustard seeds. Also, tie the dharani mantra written on straw or paper to the heart, adorn it with flowers, and place it in the center of the fire pit on a brick or stone platform, in a good posture, facing west. From the edge of the fire pit, build up white bricks that have been soaked in fragrant water in the manner of a stupa, gradually narrowing from the knees upwards. At the southeast corner of the fire pit, create a fire door, and at the level of the heart or forehead, create a window for offering the substances to be burned, and at the top, create a window for the smoke to escape. Between the wall and the base, tightly pack fragrant wood soaked in butter. On the right side, arrange the substances to be burned, and on the left side, arrange the offerings, torma, vajra bell, cleansing water, white torma, etc. In front, place a container of butter and a bunch of kusha grass. Complete.
