To begin with, the application of the wisdom thread is as follows: Purchase threads that have not been valued at a price, spun by an untouched maiden. Divide the twenty-five threads into sets of five, each set being white, yellow, red, green, and black respectively. The principal master and the disciple, visualized as Hayagriva, should place the threads on the palm of their left hand, from the tips of the fingers to the base of the thumb. The syllable HRĪḤ (藏文：ཧྲཱིཿ，梵文天城体：ह्रीः，梵文罗马拟音：hrīḥ，汉语字面意思：啥) arises and transforms into the essence of the Five Tathagatas. When drawing the lines, visualize the eyes as the sun and moon as before, and hold it at the navel. Saying "Dza Dza Dza," hand it over to the disciple. The disciple also says "Dza Dza Dza" and takes it. Starting from the inside of the left index finger of the teacher and disciple, wrap it twice around the four fingers to make a vajra fist. The teacher looks from west to east, and the disciple looks from east to west. Stretching out in the space above the center of the mandala, the thumb and index finger of the right hand holding the vajra hold the thread. (Mantra) Om Vajra Samaya Sutramatikrama Hum. Hum Om Sva Ah Ha. By casting it into the sky and making the sound of a bell, all the Tathagatas who pervade the sky are summoned and dissolve into the thread.
