The ultimate meaning of the Buddhas' intention, Is the treatise well explained by the regent Maitreya. Although it is famous for its method of explanation based on inference and reasoning, The path-manifesting Buddhayana, Is not within the capacity of inferior conceptual minds. This is the special characteristic of the arrow-shooting father and son lineage. Those who are the supreme chariots of the definitive meaning, Should distinguish the meaning as it is truly spoken.

A commentary explaining the meaning. There are two aspects to explaining this king of all treatises: explaining the text, with a brief summary of the common essentials that give certainty; and elaborately elucidating the meaning of the words of the actual text. The first has eight parts: identifying the nature of what is to be explained; the source upon which it relies; the teacher who composed it; the order of the lineage from which it was transmitted; what the meaning to be explained is; how to explain it; the meaning of the summary of the beginning and end; and explaining the necessity and connection of explaining it in this way. First, in general, the wisdom that pervades all things, in which the dharmadhatu is non-dual, is the nature of the lineage; the two purities that have abandoned the two adventitious obscurations are the nature of the dharmakaya; the view that is free from all elaboration and the non-conceptual meditation that obtains it are the nature of the path; the words of the perfectly enlightened Buddha, who teaches these three, are the supreme or sacred text. If one examines that text carefully, there are three: First, the speech of the Buddha's self-manifestation, the non-dual wisdom itself, which appears in all aspects, is the ultimate form of the words of the Mahayana sutras, which is of the same essence as the self-nature, the completely pure, or the result of separation, the dharmakaya. Second, the Mahayana sutras that are possessed of the collection of names, words, and letters that appear in the minds of noble beings and ordinary beings as the general form of sound. Third, the sound words that are spoken in accordance with that are called the definitive meaning sutras of the Mahayana scriptures. These last two, although their essence is very different from the three, nature, result, and path, are born from the aspiration prayers of the Buddhas, are the common cause of the dharmakaya, and have the power to abandon the two obscurations. Therefore, it should be known that they belong to the realm of uncontaminated dharma, purified objects, and the perfectly established. Such a collection of Mahayana texts is also included in the two, the Buddha's words and the treatises. As it says in the Sutra Requested by the Son of the Gods: "All dharmas are included in the Buddha's words and the treatises. The well-spoken and its commentaries. Because of this, the Shakya's teachings. Will remain long in this world realm." So it is. Among them, the text to be explained, the Sublime Continuum,
