There is a fault of falling into the reason that the inference should be explained first, because the meaning of the completely pure characteristic by eliminating the four kinds of wrong conceptions is also in the chapter of direct perception of the two. It should be known that this fault also applies to the previous ones. The Ornamenter thinks that there are two kinds of order of composing the treatise and the order of establishing the book. The first is composed according to the order of the Sutra. The second is because the self-meaning has its own explanation, so it is placed in the first chapter. Lhawang Blo said that there is also a mistake in the order of the chapters, and he thinks that the real order is the order of composing the treatise, because in the Ornament Sutra, in the gap of explaining the chapter of other meanings, it is said that immediately after the inference of one's own meaning, the inference of other's meaning is explained. This is not the view of the treatise, because no matter what order is followed when writing, the beginning and end should be arranged when the book is established, and the establishment itself is the real order, otherwise, the praise and the promise to write by "cutting off the net of distinctions" etc. should appear at the beginning of the chapter on the establishment of valid cognition. If you think that it is the praise and the promise to write of the self-explanation, so there is no fault, that is also unreasonable, because there is no praise and promise to write for the whole treatise, but it is only added to one chapter in the middle, which is not the rule of Indian scholars. Secondly, there are two kinds, namely the order of chapters of the Compendium of Valid Cognition and the order of chapters of this treatise. The first is that in the praise, only the name of the valid cognition to be explained is shown, and then at the beginning of the chapter on direct perception, the number of direct perception and inference is determined to be two, and then the two direct perceptions and inferences are explained in order, which is the order of high and low, because the inference ultimately leads to direct perception, and the object to be measured ultimately leads to self-characterization. Then, among the two inferences, the self-meaning inference is explained first, because it is the reason for the real inference, and it depends on the sign in the case of self-meaning, and does not need a statement of proof, but in the case of other-meaning, it depends on the sign, and needs a statement of proof, so the other-meaning inference is explained after that. Because the Commentary on Valid Cognition also has no extra necessity, so it is in this order.

This is attributed to it. Secondly, why is it not explained in that order in this treatise? Because of the need, the self-interest is explained first. What is the need? It is important that the Blessed One is a valid person, because this is the ultimate thing to be established in this teaching. The opposite of that is not important, because it is the ultimate thing to be refuted in this treatise. Distinguishing them means refuting the inverted notion that there is no valid person in essence, thereby establishing the meaning of need, the omniscient सर्वज्ञ (sarvajña, omniscient, all-knowing); refuting the inverted notion that there is no proof in the proof, and that there is no effort in it, thereby explaining the four ways of proof, thereby establishing that there is proof; by explaining the reverse way, it is established that effort is made in the method of proof. These are all based on the inference of the power of things, so before establishing validity, the self-interest inference is explained first. By doing so, in the Compendium and the Pramāṇavārttika, because there is no chapter distinguishing between important and unimportant, the direct perception is explained first. And the unique feature of explaining self-interest first here will also be understood, which is the author's intention. A similar explanation is that in Yamāri, in the Four Noble Truths to be explained, because inference cannot be easily understood without understanding it, inference should be explained first. Nima said, in order to enter the Four Noble Truths, inference is classified, and in order to show it, the second chapter clearly explains the verse of salutation. These two are like this. However, the recognition of important and unimportant is different, because these two clearly believe that the sixteen impermanent things on the Four Noble Truths are important, and the sixteen permanent things are not important. For that inference, because many inverted perceptions of self and other sects are seen, in order to eliminate them, they are classified in a non-inverted way, so the detailed explanation including self-explanation is the reason for making self-explanation for self-interest, not showing it first.
