This is to introduce the Dharmakaya. For example, just as waves are not different from water, various thoughts arise from the original clear emptiness, but in reality, they are not dualistic. As stated in the "Examination of the Two Truths": "This is called samsara; this is called nirvana. Apart from abandoning samsara, nirvana cannot be attained." Thus, recognizing thoughts as mind, one should strive until they are without root or basis. The fiftieth Dharma talk is completed. Furthermore, observe whether this mind goes or stays, acts or how it abides, and then bring the way it abides. Allow a few days for this observation. Then ask, if they say that the mind does nothing and simply abides, ask: "From yesterday when you left here until now, have you not had any thoughts of eating, dressing, sleeping, walking, etc.? Are you abiding without even the thought that you must go here now, or the thought that we are lamas?" If they say that they are not abiding in that way, then ask: "Isn't that contradictory to saying that you are abiding?" But still, observe it again and again. Also, if someone like an old meditator says that the mind abides in its untouched, original state, or utters empty words saying that it abides in freedom from elaboration, then say: "Please bring the ordinary consciousness that has not been transformed by philosophical tenets or altered by antidotes since yesterday. We are not asking you about meditation." You should also go and consult the commentary on the Abhidharmakosha. Furthermore, if someone like a Geshe, without having generated the meaning in their own mindstream, quotes many scriptural sources from sutras and tantras, and then speaks in accordance with them, then say: "There is no need to bring dry scriptural words from yesterday. Here, we are observing the mind that has not been transformed by philosophical tenets. Scriptural sources are of no use. You should also go and consult the commentary on the Abhidharmakosha." Ask again and again. If they say that the ordinary mind, untouched by antidotes and untransformed by philosophical tenets, does not want to stay still for even a moment, and that thoughts are either arising or not arising, either acting or not acting, and are constantly acting, then say: "Now there is a little progress. It is precisely that the mind itself does not want to stay still." Furthermore, carefully observe whether the arising of attachment, aversion, love, hate, the distinction between enemies and friends, and the various appearances such as the environment and beings, are done by a separate agent, or are done by the mind, or are the mind itself. Then bring your findings.

Put it in there. Again, if asked whether these containers and contents were made by phya (Tibetan transliteration, meaning unknown), Isvara, and the ancestors of the world, and they say yes, then ask where those phya and others exist, when they started making them, where they found the materials, and how they made them. If they say they don't know, then what does it mean to say that phya and others made them? In the Dharma, we don't lie. We must speak with certainty. The false stories of non-Buddhists and the world that you have heard have not been carefully examined, and further research is needed. Again, if asked, "All creators are in the mind. When the mind is still, there is nothing; when the mind moves, it creates everything," then ask whether the mind, the creator, and its action, the created thing, are the same or different. If they say they are different, then when thinking of a pillar, is the thought of the pillar the mind, and at the same time, is there a separate pillar apart from that thought? If they say there are not two, then that is understanding. Like this, through skillful means, recognize the mistaken mind. These introductions are: when you say, "Your mind is doing everything instead of doing nothing," that is when you recognize conceptual thought. The mistaken mind arises and ceases in an instant. Therefore, due to the power of the habitual tendencies of the mistaken mind, the illusions of the six consciousnesses appear as various colors, shapes, forms, sounds, smells, tastes, tactile sensations, and phenomena, and arise and cease. You have been made to understand these and introduced to them, so it is said that all phenomena arise and cease in an instant. There is no phenomenon apart from the mind. If the mistaken mind is impermanent, then illusions must also be impermanent. Understand it that way. Also, what you say, "All creators are in the mind, no one else creates, when the mind is still there is nothing, when the mind moves it creates everything," is just that. For that too, the creator, the mind, and the created thing are not two. Just as you say, "The thought of a pillar is the mind, and there is no pillar apart from that," everything that appears is the mind. The Vajra Tent Tantra says: "Apart from the precious mind, there is no Buddha and no sentient being. The objects and meanings of consciousness, there is nothing at all outside." Also, the great Brahmin Saraha says: Mind.

You alone are the seed of all things, for the continuation of samsara and nirvana, you are the one who bestows the desired fruits. I prostrate to the mind that is like a wish-fulfilling jewel. Thus it is said. Whatever impure or pure appearances arise in oneself, be certain that there is not even the slightest thing external to one's own mind. This is the first teaching session. Introducing from movement.
