Ra. If one abides in the arising with mindfulness, then in such emptiness, the king of yogis is not consumed by demons. Thus it is said. The wisdom dakini said: Having found this self-awareness wisdom, ignite a lamp in the darkness of the kalpa, completely destroy the delusion of karma, like a man awakened from sleep. Thus it is said. The peerless Dagpo Rinpoche said: Conceptual thought, the Dharmakaya, is very good. It is present without needing to be corrected by antidotes. It is present in the state of clear awareness. Thus it is said. The venerable Maitreya said: In this, there is nothing to be removed, and there is nothing to be placed. Look directly at reality, and seeing directly, one is liberated. Thus it is said. Gyalwa Godtsangpa said: Therefore, when thoughts arise, do not see them as faults. By knowing them as empty, let them be. Thoughts are the arising of the Dharmakaya. Thus, he spoke limitlessly. Having understood this and nurtured it, introducing it will bring about an easy practice. Previously, one did not know how to meditate on non-thought. Now, one knows how to meditate on thought. Therefore, just as the eye cannot see the eye, thoughts themselves obscure themselves, and one does not see the gateway of arising. Here, thoughts are clear, so one sees their essence. Therefore, the core of meditation is on thoughts. Recognize whatever thoughts arise, and in their own essence, which is clear, empty, and naked, abide without hope or fear, without artifice. Then thoughts dissolve on their own, and in the essence of thoughts, one realizes that very clarity, emptiness, and freedom from elaboration. Thus, Lord Gampopa said: View thoughts as necessary, view them as kind, view them as beloved, view them as indispensable. Although they appear in this way, view them as meaningful, for this is the nature of reality. Without thoughts, there is no Dharmata, so view thoughts as necessary. Previously, one wandered in samsara because one did not know the nature of thoughts. Now, thoughts are illuminating as the Dharmakaya, so view them as kind. Now, even when thoughts arise, if one knows how to rest effortlessly in them, then they themselves are the Dharmakaya, so view them as beloved. If the experience of viewing thoughts as beloved arises, then there is no meaning in the aggregation of the skandhas arising. The measure of the aggregation of the skandhas is that they are aggregated because one views thoughts as faults. It is also said that when Gampopa went from Dagpo to Upper Dagpo, all the monks gathered.

At the time of..., it was said: Great meditators think of being without conceptualization. Conceptualization itself cannot be refuted. Great meditators become exhausted and leave. Well then, just as the more trees there are, the bigger the fire is, the more conceptualization there is, the more the wisdom of non-duality grows, so it is okay to allow the five poisons and conceptualization to arise just like manure. Without rejection or acceptance, this uncorrected state is the very wisdom of the mind of all Buddhas of the three times. The fact that we do not truly know the Buddha is also because of this. The Buddha also has nothing other than this. Thus it was said. Phagmo Drupa said: Conceptualization is awareness, awareness is the three doors of liberation. Noble beings should know this, with the perception of great bliss, especially thinking of the great kindness. In the nature of mind, if you want to abandon conceptualization, it will increase. Because it is unborn, there is no need to abandon it. And, when conceptualization arises, know your own guru with devotion. Understand that thoughts are the source of kindness. The Dharmakaya and conceptualization, the two, without the slightest difference, the one who has stable conviction arising, is my unerring guru. Knowing conceptualization as mind, knowing mind itself as unborn. Conceptualization cannot be abandoned, non-conceptual wisdom cannot be cultivated. These various appearances of thoughts, like putting salt in water. The guru who shows that thoughts and emptiness are non-dual, is the guru who opens the door of wisdom. And so on, he said immeasurably. The accomplished Orgyenpa said: There is no need to deliberately seek non-conceptualization. There is no need to see faults in conceptualization. In order to avoid a famine of practice, it is from seizing the head of the poor, so do not seek a stable, clear, comfortable mind, but practice without acceptance or rejection of whatever arises. Thus it was said, therefore, no matter what thoughts arise, without rejection or acceptance, in the state of unscattered awareness, without making any modifications, looking at the nature of that itself, astonished, bewildered, ungrasping, it is very important to remain naturally. Therefore, just as the moon in the water does not go beyond the water, all thoughts are also only mind, and mind also, like an image, abides in clarity and emptiness, and by staring at it, when thoughts arise, they are not obstructed, but remain clearly without foundation or root.
