The certainty of, even if it is admitted that it must be determined by the certainty of wisdom, the so-called certainty of the Dharma-nature ultimate truth can only be determined as being free from wisdom. Apart from this, there is no other way of certainty, because the Dharma-nature ultimate truth can never be like this, appearing as an object of wisdom as the basis is established, and cannot be changed. Just as the consciousness of the eye cannot hear sound. Therefore, as it is said, "The ultimate is not the object of the mind." Therefore, the Dharma-nature, which is empty of objects and images, cannot be realized by other means. The Sutra of the Bodhisattva Pitaka also says, "Thus, the Bodhisattva practices in accordance with the Dharma, diligently seeing in accordance with the Dharma, with what is seen, that which is seen is not seen. How is it not seen? It is seen by not seeing the image. Such a seer is called a seer in accordance with the Dharma." Moreover, in the Holy Collection Sutra it is said, "Forms are invisible, feelings are also invisible, there is no thought to be seen, sentient beings are invisible, whatever consciousness and mind are invisible, this is the invisibility of consciousness and mind, this is seeing the Dharma, as taught by the Tathagata." Therefore, the great Parphuwa said that the identification of realization in the experience and realization of Mahamudra is, as it is said, "Certainty is free from wisdom, Dharma-nature manifests, thoughts are eradicated, I say it is realization." Like this, the luminous emptiness that is free from wisdom, guarding this naked certainty of awareness that is free from fabrication without distraction, is the supreme secret instruction for clearing away sudden defilements during the path of cultivation after realization arises from the path of seeing, because Gyalwa Mapham said, "Thinking again and again, measuring and determining, is the path of practice." If this collection of wisdom of Prajnaparamita, which is free from wisdom, has merit, then offer it to the Lama Triple Gem, and if not, do not seek the fruit of effort's ripening. Therefore, abide in the effortless and uncreated spontaneously accomplished, and let go of knowledge. Therefore, regarding the collection of wisdom, if there is merit, or if there is not, what does this word "if" mean?

If someone thinks that if the accumulation of wisdom is devoid of mind, then no conditioned phenomena exist. Then, for unconditioned phenomena, will cause and effect not arise? If someone thinks this way, then for the Dharma of pure and virtuous things, even if it is devoid of the mind that believes things themselves are truly existent, it is not contradictory that it appears to be established even though it is not actually established. Therefore, in the wisdom of such understanding, entering the pure and virtuous accumulation of merit, the accumulation of merit itself becomes combined with the accumulation of wisdom. From the accumulation of the two accumulations, the benefit of the two bodies of fruition arises effortlessly. Just as from the two true bases, all the paths and fruits of samsara and nirvana can arise. Some also think that unconditioned emptiness has no virtuous result because it cannot serve as the basis for virtuous roots and other activities. Although from the unconditioned non-affirming self-emptiness, the activities of agent and object cannot be carried out, for the unconditioned emptiness, not clinging to the fabrication of conditioned non-emptiness that is the opposite of this, in the definitive realization of transcendent wisdom beyond mind, the three, agent, object, and action, are established. Therefore, from the aspect of the accumulation of wisdom that manifests profound emptiness, there is no contradiction whatsoever in establishing unconditioned emptiness as a virtuous result. Father Jamyang Drakpa is Lord Gampopa; his name merely symbolizes Jambudvipa, for he is so named because his fame pervades the sky. Therefore, study the definitive understanding that examines the nature of reality, the way of self-awareness, the essence of the Buddha beyond mind. One should study the meaning of that very instruction. 116
