Nor can it be stopped. As long as there is the harmed, the harmer, and the harm of things with true characteristics, there will be such harm of the three circles as the harmed. Once free from the harm of the three circles that have the harm of the three circles of things with true characteristics, there will be no such harm of the three circles as the harmed, just as space cannot be the harmed of space. Previously, if one encountered a wise person who understood the characteristics or the nature or the reality of all phenomena, one would be timid in speaking about how the nature of phenomena is, because one did not have the confidence of realization. But now, because one has obtained the great forbearance of the realization of Mahamudra, which is unshakable in the reality of all phenomena, even if the Buddha himself were to appear and say that the nature of phenomena is like this, and that it is established like this, and then refute it by saying that it is not like that, one would not be afraid, cautious, or timid, thinking that one's way of realization is wrong. If one discusses the meaning of reality with a wise person who is more intelligent than oneself and who understands the reality, then their characteristics will not reach the meaning of reality, but will go far away. Therefore, if the original ordinary consciousness has such a realization of Mahamudra, then it is called the accomplished yogi lord of the Kagyu lineage. As long as one has such yoga, one can give such realization to the fortunate ones of other lineages. Therefore, for the sake of this Dharma, strive to practice diligently! 82
