Existing in the nature of two functions, it is called the two truths, namely the ultimate truth and the conventional truth. Cessation and the path are two forms. Moreover, what is expressed is meaning, and what expresses it is words. Relying on both of these, there are two types of Dharma: scriptural and realized. Among them, scripture refers to the twelve branches of scripture. From the perspective of antidotes, it manifests as the three baskets (Tripitaka). That is, as an antidote to subdue the affliction of attachment, there are 21,000 sections of the Vinaya Pitaka. Similarly, as an antidote to anger, there are 21,000 sections of the Sutra Pitaka. As an antidote to ignorance, there are 21,000 sections of the Abhidhamma Pitaka. As a common antidote to the three poisons in equal measure, there are 21,000 sections of Secret Mantra. Among these, the most superior method is the Vidyadhara Pitaka, because it has many methods and no difficulties, etc. A book written and held in letters is the basis of commitment (samaya). The Dharma of realization, starting from mindfulness, gradually progresses through the path of accumulation, the path of preparation, the path of seeing, the path of meditation, and the path of no more learning. All the qualities of the five paths, as well as the wisdom of abandonment and realization of the noble ones, possess the essence of the Sugata (Tathagatagarbha). Furthermore, there are the generation stage, the completion stage, dharanis, the exhaustion stage. The four paths of learning and the actual basis of the path of no more learning are the ten bhumis of the causal vehicle and the thirteen bhumis of the resultant vehicle, etc. The classifications of the paths and bhumis of the Vajrayana are immeasurable. Since the wisdom of whatever touches the fruits of the peaks of the bhumis, it is said to rely on the tantra. The nature of the Sangha is the union of both awareness and liberation, which means knowing things as they are and knowing things as they appear, seeing all knowable objects, which are the three qualities of awareness. Being liberated from the obscuration of attachment, being liberated from the obscuration of obstruction, and being liberated from the obscuration of inferiority are the three qualities of liberation. The entering and abiding of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers, that is, the four pairs of eight types of individuals, refers to the two stages of entering the stream and abiding in the fruit. Similarly, the two stages of entering and abiding in the once-returner. The two stages of entering and abiding in the non-returner. The two stages of entering and abiding in the Arhat. The eight types of individuals, as well as the qualities of the self-ground of all the Bodhisattvas abiding on the bhumis, although they cannot be fully expressed, the place of entering the path and the nature of protection is the sacred Dharma. Dharma arises from the Teacher and is the companion for accomplishing this Dharma or the basis for establishing learning.

Since it is the abode of the Sangha, the Three Jewels are accomplished as the supreme refuge. Among the two vows of refuge, cause and effect, the inferior person will not fall into the three lower realms as a result of taking refuge; the intermediate person will not fall into any of the higher or lower states of samsara; and the superior person is able to establish all beings in the state of Buddhahood. This is the refuge of cause, desiring to accomplish other times. When it is thus accomplished, the nature of one's own mind, the essence of emptiness, is the Buddha; the self-nature, clarity, is the Dharma; and compassion, all-pervading, is the Sangha. Because it is the refuge of effect, it is a special characteristic of the Vajrayana. Although the object of the refuge of cause is the Three Jewels, in mantra, its essence is gathered into the Lama. From the three motivations of temporary, supreme, and unsurpassed, the inferior person, fearing the suffering of the lower realms, goes until the attainment of higher states. The intermediate Hearers and Solitary Realizers, fearing the suffering of existence, seek liberation, temporarily until the end of their lives, and ultimately until the attainment of the fruit of Hearers and Solitary Realizers. The superior person, fearing that abandoning the welfare of others will lead to dwelling in peace, goes until enlightenment in order to liberate all beings from the great exhalation of samsara into the state of omniscience. Moreover, it does not exist apart from one's own mind, and there is neither fear of losing refuge nor hope of gaining it. Abandoning deception is called the refuge of effect. When traveling the path, the compassion of the Buddhas towards the realms of sentient beings enters without missing the time. Even the qualities of a single pore of the Buddha cannot be fully expressed, showing that it is immeasurable, like birds making the sky their path to seek the end, but ultimately not reaching it and returning to their own place. Here, the wheel of samsara refers to the cycle of repeatedly passing through all the high and low states of the six realms of beings, and those who are flawed by the fault of accumulating bad karma. The human wheel-turning kings, the great powerful ones, and so on, because of their pride in power and strength, see that any other refuge will deceive them, and therefore fear the suffering of samsara.
