Have your vows and sincere promises been forgotten? 12 From today until I reach the heart of enlightenment, I offer my body, life, and possessions to you. My heart, liver, and lungs I entrust to you, Mother. From the depths of my heart, I utter this earnest plea, O Supreme One! 13 For those with faith, your compassion never deceives. By the truth of your wisdom, love, and power, even though I repeatedly implore and receive no result, feeling disheartened, please be especially compassionate towards me, the unfortunate one. 14 I am disturbed by the waves of evil karma and afflictions, enveloped in a cocoon of disease, demons, and obstacles. Even though I single-mindedly take refuge in you, O Supreme Protector, do you not wish to offer even a little comfort with your compassion? 15 You who possess power and compassion, although you possess the strength of great and wondrous compassion, alas! Is it possible that you would truly abandon me and others like me due to our evil karma? 16 In the past, in this dark realm of Tibet, Guru (Tibetan: གུ་རུ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: गुरु, Sanskrit Romanization: Guru, Chinese literal meaning: Teacher) Father and Mother, you personally resided, surrounded by fortunate disciples, the realization of profound secret mantras as clear as the sun. 17 Now, all of that has become history. I deeply yearn to follow the Supreme Father and Mother, wanting to repay your kindness with all my heart, but in this degenerate age, the defilements of humans and non-humans (spirits), 18 Disregard your kindness, and in this land, dark forces are strong, with much disease, war, and poverty. Alas, the Tibetan people! Behold the state of those who follow you! 19 The Supreme Father and Mother reside in the pure land of Lotus Light, while we are trapped in samsara due to our evil karma. Even though I utter fervent pleas, your wisdom eye does not deceive, 20 But because my own evil karma obscures me, like a thirsty person chasing a mirage, if my heart receives no comfort, how can I expect your compassion to descend? 21 Here, I speak of the pain in my heart as it arises, like the cries of a child.
