Substantial existence is stated in the sutras themselves as conceptualization being substantially existent, thus being established as substantially existent, but not substantially existent in the sense of arising independently. "Autonomous" is what is explained in the treatises of the master and his sons as being established by its own characteristics, so it is different from what is stated in other sutras, where "other-powered" is established by its own characteristics. Establishing substantial existence as substantially existent because of conceptualization being substantially existent also means that it is established as existent by the power of conceptualization, not as existent established by its own characteristics. Distinguishing the difference between existence and non-existence in conventional terms based on what is established by the power of conceptualization is therefore different from establishing a rope as a snake through conceptualization. The nature of phenomena is said to be neither substantially existent nor substantially non-existent, which refers to the meaning of being non-existent in the nature of the imputed, as mentioned earlier, and existent in the nature of negating it. In this way, this chapter refutes and resolves the errors in other chapters of the Mother Sutra, which state that all phenomena are merely nominally designated, and also clearly distinguishes the differences between existence and non-existence through the three characteristics, and it should be understood that this is to establish the tenets of the previously explained treatises. The single path traversed by all the Buddhas of the three times, the Perfection of Wisdom Sutra, within the sutra itself, like a commentary, seems to have been established as definitive meaning, and the greatest place where confusion arises for intelligent scholars seems to be the Chapter of Maitreya's Questions, and since it does not appear that the great Madhyamikas have explained its meaning in detail, it has been determined in detail. The second has three points: identifying the main point of reasoning, how it refutes self-characterization, and considering whether the nature of negation is to be proven or not. The first point is: according to this system, what is the main reasoning for refuting the establishment of phenomena in ultimate truth? The Entering (into the Middle Way) states: "Because of attachment to analysis and debate in treatises, liberation is not achieved, therefore it is taught." As it is said, all the rational analyses spoken of in the Madhyamaka treatises are solely for the purpose of sentient beings attaining liberation, and sentient beings are bound in samsara precisely by their attachment to the self of persons and the self of phenomena. What is it?
