The deeds spoken of are well spoken, but why is it said in this tantra that one can perfectly attain the enlightenment of a Buddha in an instant, a moment, or a short while? This is unreasonable. Or is it necessary to speak of some difference? Therefore, the difference spoken of is "gradually," etc. What is gradual giving, etc.? It is what should be given, and although discipline, etc., are not intentional, they only become profound and do not become vast, because they have not abandoned the mundane. Therefore, it is reasonable to measure time in terms of three countless eons in the way of the perfections, because there, vastness is completely attained in just that amount of time. So how can the mundane be abandoned? Therefore, "self," etc., is spoken of. What is meant by "only this," etc., is that whatever is without complete limitation of place and time is great, and therefore vast. Whatever has a definite nature of its own place and time is small, and therefore it is called mundane. Such giving, etc., is sometimes an obstacle to giving, etc., in some way or another. If so, how is this tantra vast? How can one become enlightened in an instant? Therefore, "beings," etc., is spoken of. Whatever is the wheel of the nature of the true and complete enlightenment of sentient beings, in this tantra, the yogi is its nature, so it is reasonable that he will attain the manifestation of what has been said in this life, and therefore he will realize enlightenment. Also, here, all the qualities of all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas belonging to the ten directions and three times are possessed by them, and they are the very nature of the supreme and meaningful samaya, and the nature of the supreme offering, and the nature of great bliss, and the mandala wheel with a pleasing appearance, which has expansion and contraction, so in short, after generating it in all sentient beings and oneself, it is familiarized by dwelling in equality. Such is also the conduct of all.

O. It is followed and realized through recitation and so on. Therefore, all such as generosity and discipline are supremely wonderful and vast. Since everything is always seen as the nature of suchness, profundity is also supreme here, because the object of focus is pleasing. Because it is the power of vows and the object of the mind, it is also without difficulty. Therefore, it is reasonable to think that enlightenment will be attained here in this very life in an instant. Here is the verse: The collection of qualities is well-trained by nature. The vows of the Buddhas become friends and companions. Likewise, other practices such as recitation, All arise from the mind, therefore, quickly attain enlightenment. That's how it is said. Such vastness for generosity and so on is also present in the nature of the perfections, because it is completely grasped by the Perfection of Wisdom. If someone thinks like this, therefore, it is said, "One should give," and so on. Even if giving and so on become non-objects, these giving and so on are still of ordinary nature, because the aspects of place and time are completely cut off, although selflessness does not destroy the measurable, but as previously stated, this does not exist in the supreme wheel, that is, the noble one. Therefore, and so on, is a verse used for summarizing. Universal conceptualization is all ordinary habitual tendencies. Pervasive emanation refers to the Buddha's manifestation that accomplishes all the benefits of all beings in every way, possessing light that pervades all beings, that is called Pervasive Radiance Shining Forth. Samantabhadra refers to the nature of all goodness, a synonym for the wheel of samsara and nirvana. Merely through meditation means that when one begins to diligently practice meditation, either in that very lifetime, or only half of that lifetime, or only in the night of that lifetime, if one obtains leisure and endowment, one will attain enlightenment. This is the commentary on the Four Hundred and Fifty Verses by Ratnakara Shanti. In the commentary on the Four Hundred and Fifty Rituals, it says that if one meditates only on the mind, then it is like the sphere of infinite consciousness.

Merely obtaining worldly samadhi will be like that. However, if one particularly meditates on emptiness, that will also just become complete liberation from suffering. Because it makes the action of studying the Buddha's teachings complete. Or, if one only meditates on the nature of a deity, in that case, just that will not lead to enlightenment, because the completion of the action is not complete. Or, if one meditates on the suchness of the deities, but not the deities themselves, in that case, even after countless eons, one will attain Buddhahood, but not quickly. Therefore, meditating on both is extremely pleasing. Because through the supreme power of blessing, one will quickly attain the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Sarva Mangalam! Svasti!
