Pages 301 to 400. Pages 301 to 400. Without pause, even striving for liberation with a hundredfold effort, you see as turning away from the true path. Therefore, you have long been accustomed to the single path of all Buddhas, the mother who holds all sentient beings, and the armor for the brave bodhisattvas entering the battlefield—this excellent path of compassion. You do not wish for suffering even in dreams, and you are never content with excellent happiness. If there is no difference among all beings, then those who abandon the happiness of others are greatly mistaken. Loving one, seeing this, you have accustomed yourself from the very beginning to the mind of enlightenment that sees self and others as equal, thereby taking all sentient beings as your own. Craving for one's own happiness is an obstacle to the true path, while cherishing others is the treasure of all virtues. Therefore, through repeatedly practicing the exchange of self and others, you have made all beings your own. Thus, with the mother of compassion, you, the Blessed One, have many times fully nurtured your bodily strength. Although you have reached the end of all excellent qualities, how could you be stolen away by the happiness of peace? Like a well-winged bird entering the path of the gods, neither remaining there nor falling to the earth. May I, by praising your mind, not dwell in samsara or nirvana, and may the wisdom and compassion of Manjushri never be separated from my mind. May the correct view that seizes the opportunity to steal away the clinging to extremes, and the compassion that sees all beings as beloved children, arise easily in my mind. May I lead sentient beings to the supreme Great Vehicle. May I quickly generate the retention of not forgetting the words and meanings of all dharmas, and the supreme confidence to answer all questions, so that I may spread a feast of excellent explanations to those who are impoverished in dharma. May I fulfill the wishes of various trainees according to their thoughts, without thinking. May the glory of Manjushri's heart quickly adorn me like the autumn moon adorns the sky. Praise to the venerable Manjushri—from the ocean of praise clouds that please Manjushri, the section on praising the mind, this is the third chapter. In the fields of the ten directions, the boundless Buddhas constantly praise, whose fame fills the three worlds, and who is widely known as Manjushri. I will respectfully speak a little of his qualities in praise.

May this cloud-ocean, whoever holds and reads it, may Manjushri swiftly enter their minds! This is a praise to the venerable Manjushri, called "The Cloud-Ocean of Praise that Pleases Manjushri." Written by the greatly learned Gyalkhampa Losang Drakpa Pal (Glorious Name) in the shrine of Öde Gungyal, the king of snow mountains in the land of snows (Tibet), the scribe was the Vinaya holder Bhadrapala. ༈ Namaḥ Śrī Guru Mañjughoṣāya (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: Homage to the glorious Guru Manjushri). The treasure of wisdom of all Buddhas, Holding the radiance of a youthful rainbow, To the one known as Manjushri, I prostrate with reverence at his feet. Red and yellow rays of light spread in all ten directions, Possessing the glorious five crests, With a smiling face, he breathes life into beings, I prostrate to the one who satisfies with sight. With the sword that cuts through ignorance, and, With the scripture that reveals the meaning of the heart essence, The majestic posture adorning both hands, I prostrate to you, O hero. You are the father of all Buddhas, The mother who guides all beings, You also hold the form of a youthful regent, I prostrate to the inconceivable one. Possessing an extremely peaceful demeanor, Never tiring to behold, captivating the mind, With an exceedingly gentle and melodious voice, Giving excellent advice, I prostrate to you. In all the realms beyond expression, With countless emanations of bodies, Accomplishing all the deeds of the Buddhas, I prostrate to you, the mighty one. The offerings of limitless realms, Bestowing glorious, uncontaminated bliss, With reverent mind, I constantly offer, O Blessed One, please accept with compassion. The source of immeasurable suffering, The sins of body, speech, and mind, With sincere heart, I confess to you, May they be swiftly and completely purified. The cause of all benefit and happiness, The merit and wisdom, Whatever virtues are accumulated through the two accumulations, I rejoice in them all. Protector, as long as space endures, Without passing into nirvana, always remain, For those who have fallen into the darkness of ignorance, I pray that you turn the wheel of Dharma. Whatever accumulation of merit I have done, am doing, and will do, May all of it benefit all sentient beings, And be completely dedicated to supreme enlightenment, May I swiftly attain, Your state, which is complete with all faultless qualities, And thereby liberate, All beings who have fallen into the ocean of suffering.
