The very nature of the Great Perfection is to sever the single root from its source. Although it transcends what is to be severed and the severer, for the sake of individuals with elaborations and to inspire the practice of the ascetic conduct, the instruction of abandoning the corpse as food is taught. The necessary implements for this are: To subdue arrogance, the skin of a predator with intact claws; a seat to elevate the view; a khatvanga to ascend in conduct; a supreme staff to control gods and demons; a damaru to suppress appearances; a bell to freely abandon the assembly of mothers; and a hair ornament of tiger and leopard patterned cloth. In short, prepare the appropriate attire for ascetic conduct. Then, in a crucial and dangerous place, without arrogance towards gods and demons, and without the thought of the eight worldly concerns, generate courage with the four immeasurables. Whatever arises, strike it like lightning. At that time, if you do not control it with the intention of overpowering, it is like a bird escaping from the enemy. Therefore, with wisdom and ascetic conduct, say “PHAṬ (藏文：ཕཊ།，梵文天城体：फट्，梵文罗马拟音：phaṭ，汉语字面意思：呸）” from your heart. From your heart, emanate a nine-pointed vajra of meteoric iron, solid, heavy, and dense, with blazing flames of light. Strike any dangerous place you focus on like lightning. Visualize that the gods and demons in that place, along with their retinues, are unable to escape or wander, their courage and power broken, and they remain there. Then, abandon pretense, shame, and other ordinary deceitful thoughts, and with the confidence of fierce ascetic conduct, walk vigorously with the confidence of the view in the four modes of conduct. That is, gather all the gods and demons of appearance and existence, as well as the place demons, road demons, and wanderers, and drive them without autonomy to the dangerous place, like herding cattle and sheep. As soon as you arrive at that place, with a fierce and blazing posture, grab the feet of all the gods and demons, spin them three times over your head, and visualize striking them on the basis of power. Vigorously rotate with the seat, and no matter how vast the realm of the gods and demons may be, they cannot bear it and will surely faint. If the yogi's courage is small, then gradually combine it with the mind and proceed. Wrathful embodiment! Blow fiercely on the human leg bone trumpet, strike the dance with the ferocity of viewing, PHAṬ! I, the yogi who practices fearless asceticism, in the view and conduct of equally extending samsara and nirvana, dance a dance on the self-grasping gods and demons, turn the dualistic thoughts of samsara into dust. Root lineage vidyadhara lamas come to the dance, the ocean of yidam heroes comes to the dance, the assembly of dakini wanderers comes to the dance, please bless me to enjoy the path of asceticism, PHAṬ! When striking in the eastern Videha, the dance arena of heroes and dakinis circles round, on the head of the king of hatred, CHEMS SE CHEM! The mirror-like wisdom trumpet sounds kyu ru ru, HŪṂ HŪṂ HŪṂ! PHAṬ! When striking in the southern Jambudvipa, the dance arena of heroes and dakinis is a triangular glory, on the head of the arrogant Yama, CHEMS SE CHEMS! The skull drum of equality wisdom sounds khrolo lo, HŪṂ HŪṂ HŪṂ! PHAṬ! Then is the establishment of the kila: the gods and demons of this ground, the malicious ones, turn them face up to the sky, visualize driving sky-iron kilas into the five limbs, PHAṬ! The eastern Vajra Dakini, carries the kila of great love, the southern Ratna Dakini, carries the kila of great compassion, the western Padma Dakini, carries the kila of great joy, the northern Karma Dakini, carries the kila of great equanimity, the central Buddha Dakini, carries the kila of bodhicitta, by striking the head and four joints of the self-grasping gods and demons, may they become immovable, PHAṬ!
