The Nectar of Sun and Moon for Longevity Practice from the Vajrakila Lineage The Nectar of Sun and Moon for Longevity Practice from the Vajrakila Lineage The Nectar of Sun and Moon for Longevity Practice from the Vajrakila Lineage, thus it is. The very nature of indestructible Vajra, the youthful body free from aging and decline, the accomplished great glorious deity of longevity, with ascertained faith, I prostrate. Here, in the eighth chapter of the explanatory tantra of Vajrakila, to establish the meaning of accomplishing the vidyadhara of longevity, there are three parts: preliminaries, main practice, and concluding practice. The first also has two parts: showing the distinctions of longevity, and the basis for accomplishment. The first is: The tantra says, "There are three kinds of longevity: immutable, unseizable vajra longevity; decaying and changing bindu longevity; deluded and conceptual appearance longevity." Of these, the first is that for those who directly see the truth of reality, the self-characteristic of birth and death is not established, because the nature of the wisdom of great bliss co-emergent is conventional and beyond fabrication. Therefore, it is said: "The noble ones have abandoned aging, sickness, and the suffering of death from the root." The second is that this body of ripening karma is first formed based on the union of elements and bindus. In the middle, it also depends on the three: life force, longevity, and soul. Finally, the body is destroyed because those elements decline and change. Thus, the conceptualization of destruction and survival, along with the mind of extreme clinging to reality, causes birth and death to appear as self-inherent to ordinary beings, hence it is definitely called deluded and conceptual longevity. Therefore, here, the essence of the longevity practice is the method to increase and stabilize the bindu longevity that decays and changes. Before that, one must first identify and abandon the causes of decay. The causes of decay are as follows: Breaking vows like a shadow, misconduct, conflicts with oath-bound ones, mental disturbances, increased hatred, encountering obstacles, fear, curses, speaking harsh words, damage to oath-bound objects, all cause the decline of longevity. The antidote to this is: respecting the guru, purifying one's own mind-stream, stabilizing meditation, holding mantra, drawing near to oath-bound ones. This will restore longevity. The second is: through the greatness of the skillful means of the Vajrayana path, practicing longevity from both the generation and completion stages.

Among them, there are profound oral instructions for practice. Here, I will explain according to the first method. For those who wish to restore what has been damaged, create a mandala on an auspicious ground, with a lotus, wheel, and crossed vajra. The support for the deities is nine lamps. Remove obstacles with the wrathful ten wrathful ones' phurba, the five amritas and five medicines, and the excellent food that the phurba relies on, a skull cup, iron and precious vessels, and a pleasing and beautiful vase. If you practice in this way, life will be greatly increased. As it is said, on an auspicious ground, make a platform, and on top of the platform, make a mandala with four lotus petals each, with the hand symbols of the five families drawn without confusing the directions. In the center, on top of a crossed vajra, place a vase filled with essence. Around it, place nine lamps. Around the outside of the fence, place the phurba of the ten wrathful ones. Inside it, place a life arrow, or the tip of a life pill made of sandalwood, or a square phurba made of auspicious wood, decorated with silk. As appropriate, place a willow skull cup facing down. Put in the root of the five amritas, and then put in pills corresponding to the eighty-four thousand root afflictions. Similarly, as the Root Tantra says, "Food, drink, chewing substances, licking substances, etc., are placed in a skull cup, soaked in wine and medicinal essence," and accumulate all offerings, tormas, and enjoyments. Second, the main practice. First, reciting the text. From the state of oneness of the self-arisen deity and the front-arisen deity, meditate on the deity yoga, and then open the recitation. The mantra to be recited is: Om Vajra Kili Kilaya Jah Hum Bam Hoh, Ayurjnana Akarshaya Jah, Rulu Rulu Hum Bhyoh Hum, Om Ah Hum. Recite as much as possible. If you feel tired, you can recite the mantra from the secret tantra: Om Hum Sva Ah Ham, Bhrum Vajra Ayushe Hum Ah. It is also possible. In the session break, perform the ritual of summoning life: If obstacles do not give life, even Amitayus is wrathful. Fill the ten directions of space, emit a fierce sound, and subdue all without exception. With this visualization. Hum! From the naturally accomplished deity in the center, the great glorious Vajra Blood-Drinker, and the wrathful mother Vajra Dhatu Rich Mother, dark blue, the color of the unchanging sky, one face and two arms, in a wrathful form, subduing evil with a vajra, holding a blue lapis lazuli vase in the left hand, filled with immortal nectar, wearing a Kashi silk necklace around the neck, decorated with a wish-fulfilling tree, the father and mother in blissful union.
