That which is contained therein is to hold firm. The method of holding is: In the image of emptiness, contemplate the mind that grasps entering, thereby causing the wind-mind to gather in the ཧཾ་(Tibetan, Devanagari: हं, Romanized Sanskrit: haṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: హం)bindu of the great bliss wheel at the crown. This is the limb of holding. As it is said: 'By the Vajra transference restraint, one becomes a yogi of solid signs.' Fifth, the limb of remembrance has two aspects. The meaning of remembrance is: Just as when hungry, one remembers food, and when thirsty, one remembers drink, similarly, after the bodhicitta has melted as fire enters fuel, with the wind-mind gathered in the great bliss bindu, one remembers the mudra. The method is: To the image of emptiness, generate a loving mind, contemplate being free from all discriminations. By the power of the wind-mind gathering in the ཧཾ་(Tibetan, Devanagari: हं, Romanized Sanskrit: haṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: హం)bindu of the great bliss wheel, the form of the body with the tummo fire blazing at the navel, and the appearance of oneself surrounded by light, and the special bliss-warmth arising in the body, this is the limb of remembrance. As it is said: 'In the lotus, firmly place the vajra, upward may the bodhicitta be constant.' Sixth, samadhi has two aspects. The meaning of samadhi is: The object grasped appearing empty, the consciousness that grasps clear empty, and the feeling experienced bliss-emptiness united, the mind one-pointedly entering samadhi. The method is: By contemplating with the three unchanging conditions, one cuts off whatever coarse and subtle discriminations there may be. When one fully sees the ten signs of the wind entering the central channel, then appearances of green and black, and so forth, will arise. Thereafter, in the great bindu possessing various extremely subtle rays of light, the appearance of a black line bindu will arise. Within that, one will see various images such as the coarse six realms of beings, and at that time, one will hear various indestructible melodious sounds, smell various pleasant fragrances, taste various pleasant flavors, and experience special tactile sensations. Within the black line bindu of the time channel, one will see many extremely subtle nirmanakayas and sambhogakayas. That itself is the clear light of various images, and that is also the mahamudra. As the Mahamudra Bindu Tantra says: 'Transcending the nature of the finest dust, possessing the nature of abandonment, generating unchanging bliss, you are the Mahamudra.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'Homage!' Thus it is said. It is also said that the meaning of the four empowerments is also like this. At that time, a yogi will generate non-conceptual wisdom. Thus it is said. Such emptiness of the Great Seal, various appearances, images, luminosity, ultimate truth, permanence, great bliss, and the yogi's own nature, Dharmakaya, luminosity, when these two become inseparable and one, it is the perfection of the limb of Samadhi. Thus it is said: 'By embracing the Great Seal well, may blessings descend upon the Vajra, twenty-one thousand six hundred times, in an instant, O King, may oneself transform into Vajrasattva.' Thus it is said. Third, summarizing the meaning: When practicing the six-limbed yoga, it is not necessary to learn in sequence, but to meditate with the three-fold six unmoving aspects. That is, until the signs of the night are complete, practice the yoga of the night, then the day, practice the yoga of the day. After the ten signs are complete, at night, practice the yoga of the night, during the day, practice the yoga of the day. It is also permissible to practice alternately as before. Thus it is said. Furthermore, do not stop merely by observing the appearance of signs, but practice continuously until unsurpassed enlightenment is attained. Thus it is said. Then, secondly, the result of practicing in this way is: temporarily, one will see the face of the Tathagata, and receive the supreme gift of speech, etc., and ultimately, the union of emptiness without object and great bliss with object, attaining the five wisdom bodies that are supremely immutable, or the Primordial Buddha of the inseparable ground, the glorious Kalachakra, etc., attaining names with many variations. For the benefit of others, the two bodies born from the accumulation of merit and vast aspirations will work until all beings' benefit is placed in the most excellent state. This is stated in the tantras and pure commentaries. By practicing yoga for months and years, may one attain the state of Vajradhara! This work called 'Essence of the Commentary on the Six-Limbed Yoga' is the meaning of completely severing all paths. The emanation body Shawaari Wangchuk, the scattered instructions spoken to Mahapandita Vibhutichandra, were compiled by the yogi of the glorious Kalachakra, for the sake of those with the capacity, at the request of the glorious Akshobhya Vajra (Kunpang Chökyi). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
