In order to attain the perfect Buddha for the benefit of others, I will meditate on the powerful Hayagriva's Play. Recite three times. Meditate on the four immeasurables, such as "May all sentient beings have happiness." The main practice is: From the realm of clear light emptiness, the play of awareness, on a variegated lotus and solar disc. Instantly, transform oneself into the form of Hayagriva's Play, with three faces and six arms, red, green, and white. On the crown of the head, a horse head, green and black, neighing fiercely. Standing on eight feet, the eight emanations, crossed. The three right hands hold a vajra, khatvanga, and sword. The three left hands hold a threatening mudra, short spear, and entrail lasso.

Etc. Adorned with the ornaments of the charnel ground, possessing the demeanor of the nine dances, playing in the midst of the blazing fire of wisdom. From the vase of the neck up to the calves, filled with countless small wrathful deities similar to oneself. From the mouths of the assembly of deities, the sound of mantras resounds, and immeasurable rays of light spread throughout the sky. By the offering of the noble ones, blessings and accomplishments dissolve into oneself. May all beings be cleansed of their obscurations and placed in the glory of bliss. Destroying and tormenting the eight classes of spirits and sorcery, appearing as the deity, the sound is the sound of mantras, and thoughts and concepts are transformed into the nature of primordial purity, the Dharmakaya. (Seed Syllable, Devanagari: oṃ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal Meaning: Om!) (Seed Syllable, Devanagari: hrīḥ, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, Literal Meaning: Hrih!) padma nta kṛta vajra krodha haya grīva hulu hulu hūṃ phaṭ. Recite as much as possible. If one has previously completed the recitation practice, then at the end of the mantra, add the mantra of subjugation. oṃ vajra duna bhyoḥ trik nan jaḥ jaḥ samaya stvaṃ. If specifically targeting the king's spirits, then at the beginning of all samayas, add khaṃ rakṣa samaya jaḥ, etc., and recite those as well. At the end of the session, use vowels, consonants, and the heart of dependent origination to complete the deficiencies of the mantra and make it stable. The deity of appearance dissolves into the clear light realm. Again, in an instant, it transforms into the playful horse supreme. By this virtue, may we be victorious over the battlefield of the demonic forces, and may we attain the ground of accomplishment of Padma Garwang! Thus, etc., connect with dedication, aspiration, and auspicious words, and engage in the activities of the session interval. If offering a torma, purify it. From emptiness, from oṃ, in a vast and extensive jeweled vessel, from the melting of oṃ āḥ hūṃ, the torma arises as a great ocean of nectar. Recite oṃ āḥ hūṃ three times. From one's own heart, rays of light emanate, visualizing the glorious Hayagriva, surrounded by the root three and the ocean of Dharma protectors, in the sky in front. vajra samājaḥ! Visualize their tongues, like vajra tubes, piercing into the torma and enjoying it. At the end of the root mantra, add: sapa rivāra idaṃ balidha kha kha khāhi khāhi! gṛhṇa gṛhṇa bhuñja ho! rakta pīpa ho! samaya svāhā! Offer from oṃ vajra puṣpe to śapta. The Dharmakaya of all Buddhas, Padmasambhava, Dharma Lord Amitabha is Vajra Dharma, Avalokiteshvara's emanation, from hūṃ, emanates a fierce form, Hayagriva neighs.
