Since I am your teacher, Remember the Dharma talk and empowerment! Remember the deity and the essence! For the sake of traversing the path of liberation to higher realms! Now is the time to stabilize mindfulness! Now is the time to remember the instructions! The transference is: On the bow of skillful means, load the arrow of wisdom, Endowed with the strength of wisdom and compassion, In the supreme and sacred pure land, May the deceased be born like an arrow shot! Recite the wrathful deity's mantra and burn (offerings). Mix the ashes with water from a vase, scrub with sand, and combine with clean earth to make tsatsas. Consecrate them elaborately or concisely as appropriate, and place them in a secluded location. For the sake of the deceased, extensively recite aspiration prayers such as the "Bodhicharyavatara Prayer." Perform the subsequent mandala rituals according to your own tradition. This passage is a concise summary, as it appears in the sacred teachings of the Noble Avalokiteśvara, the Self-Liberation from the Lower Realms, which originated from the profound terma of Rigdzin Jatsön Nyingpo. Most of the connecting phrases are also summarized in easily memorized verses. This can be applied to any Avalokiteśvara terma, and the only difference during bathing and other rituals is the combination with their respective root mantras.
