May the prosperity of the Golden Age be fulfilled, and especially may the merit and wisdom of the patrons of generosity and their retinues be perfected, so that all temporary and ultimate aspirations may be fulfilled in accordance with the Dharma. Recite this three times. And supplicate with "Buddha emanations, Arhats, noble assembly," etc. I beseech the Teacher, the Powerful Sage, and the noble Sthaviras with their retinues to consider me. We, sentient beings of this degenerate age, have inferior and impure conduct, and are controlled by afflictions. Our offerings are inferior and unclean, and we are unable to perform the rituals from the Sutras properly. I beseech the noble ones who possess great compassion to forgive all errors and faults. If there are any, please consider them with compassion and accept them with forgiveness, and may they not become obstacles in the present or future. Thus, say. And beseech forgiveness for omissions, etc. If there is a support (such as a statue), perform the stable abiding ritual; if not, perform the ritual of requesting departure. By the power of this root of virtue of myself and others, dedicate the merit and make aspirations, such as "May the two accumulations be perfected," etc., and "Skillful means and great compassion," etc., and "By the compassion of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the three times, may the great Sthaviras who uphold the Vinaya of the Shravakas, protect the Dharma and benefit beings as long as Samsara exists, be auspicious." Such auspicious words should be adorned with whatever knowledge one has. Thus, by supplicating the Teacher, the unparalleled King of the Shakyas, together with the gods, and the noble great Sthaviras who uphold the Vinaya of the Shravakas and perform the deeds of Bodhisattvas, together with their retinues, in general, all such wishes will be fulfilled as desired, and the benefits of being protected by the white-sided gods are inconceivable. In particular, for the sake of the means and auspicious connections for the increase of the Dharma of teaching and practice together with the Sangha, which are very wonderful, therefore, those who possess wisdom should extensively practice the Sutra rituals, and those who are unable to do so should also strive in various ways, such as practicing this much of the ritual. We have performed this ritual of offering to the Teacher Buddha and the Sthaviras with their retinues.

May the teachings of explanation and practice flourish, and may all beings increase in happiness and well-being! This is a condensation of the meaning of the words composed by the earlier holy ones such as Chimchen Namkha Drak, aiming to be an auspicious connection for the long life and establishment of the path of the all-knowing victorious ones, the source of benefit and happiness. The Shakya monk and yogi named Khyentse, who holds a pure and unified view of all teachings without sectarianism, composed this on the first day of the waxing fortnight of the ripening month at the glorious Narthang Monastery. Sarvadā maṅgalam bhavatu. May there be auspiciousness always!) A concise method of offering and praying to the King of Sages and the Sixteen Arhats with their retinue - "The Melodious Sound of the Cloud of Merit."
