A Necessary Text for the Practice and Activities of Glorious Vajrapani Uccarla, Called "Vajra Fire." A Necessary Text for the Practice and Activities of Glorious Vajrapani Uccarla, Called "Vajra Fire," thus it abides. Namo Guru Shri Vajrapaniye. Glorious, From the section on the Lord of Secrets, Vajrapani, briefly describing the greatness of the fierce mantra of Uccarma, this is a necessary instruction from the profound teachings, in three parts. First, the practice: Having received empowerment in the mandala of any form of Vajrapani, and having received the subsequent permission for this, and being endowed with samaya, in a secluded and agreeable place, before a painted image or support of this deity, arrange two tormas and offerings. Starting from the auspicious evening session during the waning moon's fierce constellations, engage in the practice. Then, generate strong faith, renunciation, and compassion. Temporarily pacify all obstacles to the practice of the sacred Dharma, and ultimately attain the supreme accomplishment of the Great Seal, with the intention to attain the state of the glorious Lord of Secrets, engage in the practice, from refuge to recitation, according to the sadhana composed by Omniscient Kunkhyen Konchok Lhundrup (1389-1463). During the recitation visualization, visualize your own tongue as a vajra of meteoric iron with nine points raised upwards from the syllable Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽), each point adorned with a garland of mantras, radiating sparks of wisdom fire, visualize and recite. During the recitation, From the garland of mantras at the heart, radiate inconceivable masses of light rays and flames, filling the entire inside of the body. All diseases, evil influences, and obscurations are burned and purified. Each pore is filled with countless tiny wrathful deities, uttering the sound of the mantra "di ri ri." Again, from these tiny wrathful deities, emanate countless forms identical to oneself. Cut off and devour all harmful spirits and obstacles. Visualize dissolving into the tiny wrathful deities at the base of the pores with a joyful demeanor and recite, this is the instruction. In such a sequence, divide into four sessions and practice for a month. At the end of the final session, offer the torma as described in the sadhana. The wisdom deity of the torma offering

If present, perform the stable abiding ritual as usual, and if not, perform the welcoming and farewell rituals, etc. The standard for the number of recitations is sixteen or seventeen hundred thousand short mantras. The time limit for recitation is three months. For the signs of accomplishment in recitation, the best is to actually see the painted image smiling, emitting light, producing sound, and arising with clairvoyance, etc. The intermediate is when such appearances occur during meditation. Even the lowest is to see many scriptures in dreams, take them in hand, play music, listen to and expound the Dharma, draw mandalas, obtain the deity's form and hand implements, see leaves, flowers, fruits, the sun and moon, and stars, draw water from ponds and wells, wear garments of wild animal skins, adorn oneself with ornaments, and hold sharp weapons, etc. It is said that even if these occur, one will definitely attain various siddhis. If such signs are seen, or after about one-third of the recitation is completed, also recite a little of the long mantra at the end of each session. Second is the practice: In front of oneself, arrange a painted image of this deity that possesses the characteristics. If it is a three-dimensional image, then invite it to be seated in the center of the mandala. Arrange tormas and offerings in front. With self-generation as the preliminary, visualize the support in front as the deity, as in the case of empowerment. Clearly visualize the mantra wheel at the heart. Then, from the seed syllable and mantra garland at one's own heart, a second mantra garland arises with flames, emerges from the mouth, enters the mouth of the deity in front, and dissolves into the seed syllable at the heart, thereby stimulating the deity's mind. Again, from the seed syllable and mantra garland at the heart, a mantra garland arises, emerges from the navel, enters from one's own navel, dissolves into the seed syllable at the heart, and one contemplates becoming one with the deity, blessing the continuum. Like this, recite while continuously radiating and gathering light. At the end of all four sessions, extensively perform offerings, praise, torma offerings, confession, stable abiding, dedication, aspiration prayers, and auspicious wishes to the deity in front. If no signs appear during the recitation, then continue reciting until signs appear. If signs of recitation appear, then recite for seven days or twenty-one days, etc., as much as one can, and the purpose will be accomplished. Third is the action practice: There is the actual action practice that relies on samadhi, and other activities besides that. The first is: After signs have appeared in the recitation and practice, for the malevolent...
