Sixth, the story of the great diligent king being born as a Naga. Sixth, the story of the great diligent king being born as a Naga. Furthermore, acting for the benefit of sentient beings in the form of a king. From the Sutra of the Great Cloud: A Brahmin named Kaundinya, along with thousands of Brahmin retinues, made great offerings to the Bhagavan. Upon hearing the sound of the Tathagata's complete Nirvana, he immediately wept and touched the feet of the Bhagavan with his head, and pleaded to the Bhagavan, saying: If the Bhagavan wishes to benefit all sentient beings, with great compassion and love, like the parents of all sentient beings, with wisdom as clear as the moon and great wisdom, even if you act as Rahu devouring the moon, please bestow a supreme Dharma for the benefit of all sentient beings. After saying this, the Bhagavan did not respond. By the power of the Bhagavan, a young Licchavi named Delightful to See, in that retinue, spoke verses to the Brahmin Kaundinya: When will flowers grow in the Ganges River, crows turn red, cuckoos turn the color of conch shells, jambu trees bear tala fruits, pomegranates bear mango blossoms, at that time relics the size of mustard seeds will appear. When will the hairs of turtles be skillfully woven into clothing, to ward off the winter cold, at that time relics will appear. When will the legs of bees be skillfully built into pavilions, stable and immovable, at that time relics will appear. When will silkworms and lotuses grow white teeth, becoming sharp and huge, at that time relics will appear. When will rabbits use horns, to build stairs skillfully, for climbing to the heavens, at that time relics will appear. When will climbing those stairs, eating the moon from the heavens, and harming Rahu, at that time relics will appear. When will bees run in the village, drink wine from pottery jars, and dwell in houses, at that time relics will appear. When will

When the bumblebee becomes happy, the lips become like red bimba fruit, and are skilled in singing and dancing, then relics will exist. When owls and crows, in a secluded place, develop love from within caves, and become harmonious with each other, then relics will exist. When the leaves of the sal tree, become umbrellas of three jewels, and when rain falls to provide shelter, then relics will exist. When a great ship in the ocean, equipped with wheels and sails, appears on land and walks, then relics will exist. When the owl among birds, holding a fragrant sandalwood mountain in its beak, circles around, then relics will exist. Thus it is said. Kaundinya said: Young man, well done, well done! Son of the Tathagata, joyful and skilled in means, possessing greatness, having received prophecy. The greatness of the Tathagata, is shown in sequence by the great youth. The realm of the Buddha is inconceivable, inconceivable wisdom is incomparable. The Tathagatas are incomparable, all Buddhas are eternally peaceful, all Buddhas truly appear, all Buddhas have the same color, this is the Dharma-nature of the Buddha. The Buddha, the Bhagavan, is not artificial, the Tathagatas are unborn, having a body as hard as a vajra, they also show manifestations. Even a relic the size of a mustard seed, will not appear, if there is no bone, blood, and flesh, how can there be relics? For the benefit of sentient beings, relics are placed through skillful means. The Buddha, the Bhagavan, is the Dharma-body, the Tathagata is the Dharma-realm. The body of the Bhagavan is like that, and the teaching of the Dharma is also like that. Thus, as I have heard and understood, I pray to the holy one who speaks the Dharma. In order for you to begin speaking, I have initiated these conversations. Thus it is said. Then, the goddess Immaculate Light, having performed the act of offering to the Bhagavan, then spoke thus: Bhagavan, alas! These two skillful individuals, are both wise and peaceful, possessing profound knowledge, and deeply understand the meaning of the great qualities of the Tathagata, Bhagavan, who are these two excellent individuals?

I am here. For the sake of benefiting sentient beings, please, Bhagavan, speak. The Bhagavan said: Goddess, well done! Well done! Goddess, it is excellent that you have asked the Tathagata for the benefit of all sentient beings. Goddess, listen! This great chief of the Shravakas is the son of the Tathagata. Goddess, these two chiefs are the masters of noble beings. For those who delight in the Dharma, they repay the kindness done to the Tathagata. My beloved son is the heir to the Tathagata's lineage, bears the burden of my teachings, and causes the lamp of my teachings to blaze forth. Goddess, you should rejoice and applaud. Goddess, in the past, long ago, countless kalpas, extremely countless kalpas, many kalpas, extremely many kalpas ago, at that time, there appeared in the world a Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, endowed with knowledge and conduct, Well-Gone, Knower of the World, Guide of beings to be tamed, unsurpassed, Teacher of gods and humans, a Buddha, named Light of Melodious Wisdom. Goddess, at that time, this Jambudvipa was prosperous and flourishing, with good harvests, delightful, filled with people and many people, happy and endowed with the enjoyment of happiness. At that time, Jambudvipa also became vast and wide, with a wide expanse of water, square in shape, with one side measuring sixty-eight hundred thousand kotis of yojanas. At that time, in this Jambudvipa, there were cities of twelve yojanas, inhabited by ninety-nine kotis of people, with seventy-eight thousand elephants. All those cities were made entirely of the seven precious substances. Goddess, at that time, in this Rajagriha (near Patna, Bihar today), there appeared a city called Jewel Source. In that great city, eighty trillion people lived. In the great city of Jewel Source, all sentient beings were Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who cherished the Great Vehicle. Goddess, at that time, in the great city of Jewel Source, the Tathagata...
