Having gazed upon, therefore, by the power of the accomplished ones, the darkness of beings' minds is instantly destroyed. The place where the auspicious connection of events is established is a place of great suffering for beings in the degenerate age. The cause of suffering is the non-virtue committed by oneself. The root of non-virtue arises from clinging to self. By clinging to self, the three poisons of attachment, hatred, and ignorance are stirred up. Due to attachment, others' wealth is stolen and plundered. The monastic communities engage in sexual misconduct, breaking vows, and abandoning pure conduct. Due to hatred, conflicts arise, and others' lives are taken. With tormented minds, fierce protectors are invoked. Due to the power of ignorance, the faults of other holy beings are proclaimed, and oneself is considered virtuous. The guide for discerning what to adopt and abandon is lost, with no way to observe. Due to this, the three realms of gods, demons, and humans are in conflict. By plundering others' wealth, famine occurs in the land. Bad years, hail, and frost, livestock losses, and unwanted events occur. The complexion of people deteriorates, and the fortune of vessels declines. Non-human beings and demons mingle, filling the valleys. To benefit them, these rituals are necessary. In front of the supreme sacred place, the greatly blessed Gangkar (Snow Mountain). The monks with vows perform the purification ceremony. The groups of mantra practitioners fulfill vows and perform Ganachakra and Tsok offerings. The hundred-syllable mantra of secret mantra is recited to accumulate numbers. In this place, water offerings, Naga Torma offerings of hundreds of thousands and millions are made. Related to peaceful and wrathful deities, food offerings are made, dedications, and so on. Without mixing with sin, pure virtuous deeds are performed correctly.
