With an attitude of pride, recite "Hūṃ Hūṃ Hūṃ," thinking that they will be involuntarily summoned, listen to commands, and respectfully obey. Enhance awareness, accompanied by music and songs: Hūṃ! I am Mañjuśrī Yamāntaka, I am Padma Heruka, I am Guhyapati Vajradhara, I am Bhagavan Amitāyus, I am Vajrakumāra Mahāsattva. In these three realms, no matter who it is, do not disobey my command! If anyone disobeys the command, they will be completely destroyed into dust! For the nine-year yoga of myself and my retinue, any obstructing and harming demons, the death lord Āva bull-headed, the life lord Rakṣa pig-headed, the life force lord wrathful snake-headed, as well as the year demons and year killers, and all the worldly gods and demons of the eight classes, the eighty thousand classes of obstructing spirits, anyone who harms, by the power of the truth of the Three Jewels, by the samādhi of the yidam deity, by the power of the wrathful deities, by the power of the truth of mantras and mudrās, involuntarily come here! Harmer, Sarva Sutri Pretu Ākarṣaya Jaja! Recite seven times, five times, three times, etc., until the signs of summoning appear. Then, visualize the death lord and his retinue being satisfied and prostrating to the Vajra Master, and listening to commands. After that, arrange alcohol and the three white foods, the three sweet foods, etc., and purify them with "Svabhāva." From the syllable "Traṃ" arises a vessel made of precious jewels, filled with the alcohol of the three white foods and three sweet foods, and the ransom offerings, endowed with the five desirable qualities. Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ! And consecrate it as a treasure with the flame mantra. May it be endowed with perfect five desirable qualities. This offering of ransom food, endowed with the five desirable qualities, is offered to the death lord Yama Āva bull-headed, the life lord Rakṣa pig-headed, the life force lord wrathful snake-headed, the twelve year demons and year killers, and the obedient gods and demons of the eight classes and their retinues. Please quickly pacify all diseases, evil influences, and obstacles of death! Then, state the power of truth: Homage to the truth of the Three Jewels, the secret mantra, the vidyā mantra, the dhāraṇī mantra, the truth of the heart essence samādhi, the truth of the ḍākas, ḍākinīs, dharma protectors, and guardian deities and their retinues, and by the power of the truth of the mantra, mudrā, and samādhi of myself, the mantra-holding yogi, today

May this practitioner be liberated from the noose of the Lord of Death! May they be freed from the judgment of Yama! By reciting thus, visualize all unfavorable aspects leaving the body in the form of smoke and dissolving into the effigy. Recite this a hundred thousand times, or dedicate it according to the patient's age, and put it into practice. Here, dedicating the effigy and offering gifts: HO! Lord of Death, Ava, with the head of an ox! Raksha, with the head of a pig! Soul-taker, with the head of a snake! Together with all the retinue of spirits and demons under your command, I offer you a bre, ten, hundred, thousand, million, billion, trillion, quadrillion, and countless objects of enjoyment! Please accept this effigy as a substitute for the life and vitality of this practitioner, abandon any intention to harm, and grant benefit, happiness, and the mind of enlightenment! Gya Trang! HO! Lord of Death, Ava, with the head of an ox! Raksha, with the head of a pig! Soul-taker, with the head of a snake! Together with all the retinue of spirits and demons under your command, I offer you butter, meat, curd, molasses, and other objects of enjoyment, one srang, ten, hundred, thousand, million, billion, trillion, quadrillion, and countless! Please accept this effigy as a substitute for the life and vitality of this practitioner, abandon any intention to harm, and grant benefit, happiness, and the mind of enlightenment! Then, entrusting the activity of the power of truth: Homage to the truth of the Three Jewels, the truth of the secret mantras, the truth of the knowledge mantras, the truth of the dharani mantras, the truth of the heart essence samadhi, the truth of the heroes, dakinis, protectors, and guardian deities together with their retinues, and by the power of the truth of the mantras, hand gestures, and samadhi of us mantra-holders and yogis! Today, with this vast offering of the torma of worship, from this time until the attainment of enlightenment, may all diseases, demonic influences, bad dreams, evil omens, untimely death, and all other unfavorable evils be pacified for us and our retinue! May all favorable and virtuous qualities, such as longevity, freedom from illness, auspiciousness, well-being, and all other virtues, be spontaneously accomplished! Thus, dedicate. Then, again, adorn yourself with the attire of a mantra practitioner, wear black hats and clothes, smear black ash on your face, make a loud noise, and place the effigy (Linga) inside a black skull cup (Bhandha) torma vessel.
