I am the vidyādhara practitioner, I am the mantra holder with vows, Abiding in the oath and relying on the deities, you are the oath-bound protector, You are the master of fierce power and strength, Consider and listen, Rāhula. In the beginning of the past kalpa, With the Buddha Ratnasambhava and the Teacher Śākyamuni's son, Vajradhara, the joyful Padmasambhava, In their presence, the solemn oath that was vowed, Do you not remember the powerful words? In the presence of Ratnasambhava, The Brahmin boy, the All-Pervading Cloud, For the enemies who plot to harm the teachings, You vowed to cut them off from the root, And in the presence of the Teacher, in the future, Scolding the lamas and sowing discord among the mantras, Destroying the solitary places and stealing the wealth, You vowed to cut off the life force of the degenerated. In the presence of Vajradhara, To protect the Buddha's teachings and, To nourish and care for the vow-bound yogis and, To subdue and liberate the butchers of the ten directions, etc., Of the root tantra of the joyful Padmasambhava, In the presence of the lama, the oath that was vowed, Do you not remember the samaya?
