Just as at the time of birth, the gods bathed him with pure water, so too, I empower you. Om Buddha Bhaishajye Ashta Abhishincha Hum! (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་བུདྡྷ་བཻ་ཥ་ཛྱེ་ཨཥྚ་ཨ་བྷི་ཥིཉྩ་ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ बुद्ध भैषज्ये अष्ट अभिषिञ्च हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ buddha bhaiṣajye aṣṭa abhiṣiñca huṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om, Buddha, Medicine, Eight, Abhisheka, Hum!) Then scatter auspicious flowers: Whose body is the color of indigo, whose marks and signs blaze with a thousand rays of sunlight, whose voice opens the opportunity for peace to all, may the auspiciousness of the body of the Bhagavan Medicine Buddha prevail! In order to request the empowerment of speech, speak thus: Namo! Vajradhara Wang Men Gyal Dang, Yermey Lama Longchö Dzog, Wakka'i Je Nang Min Drol Tsol, Jinlab Yeshe Wangkur Zhu. Then, hold the mantra board and rosary: Hum! Bhagavan Sugata Eight Brothers, the blessing of speech, the power of qualities, endowed with the essence of the fruit of mantra, may you obtain the empowerment of the sound-emptiness of speech! At the end of the root mantra, add speech (Tibetan: ཝཀྐ, Sanskrit Devanagari: वाक्क, Sanskrit Romanization: vākka, Literal Chinese Meaning: Speech), and repeat the long and short mantras seven times each, causing the mantra syllables to be recited, and causing the mantra rosary to be recited. Again, offer the rosary of the same color as the deity to the master and request the accomplishment of the mantra: Then, Bhagavan Sugata Eight, having well bestowed upon this disciple, in order to take hold of this one, please grant the accomplishment of the mantra. Recite vowels, consonants, and the heart of dependent origination, speak auspicious words, and scatter flowers: Whose speech is like the thousand strings of a Gandharva, whose voice of Brahma satisfies the minds of various beings to be tamed, is the treasure of the ocean of scriptures, may the auspiciousness of the speech of the Bhagavan Medicine Buddha prevail! For the sake of requesting the empowerment of mind, speak thus: Namo! Vajradhara Wang Men Gyal Dang, Yermey Lama Chökyi Ku, Tsitta'i Je Nang Min Drol Tsol, Jinlab Yeshe Wangkur Zhu. Having made this request, the master empowers with the eight Aru instruments of the mind: Hum! Bhagavan Sugata Medicine Buddha, the essence of the true mind of the retinue, the empowerment of the instruments, the eight Aru are the minds of the eight Sugatas, in the form of a cluster, blazing with light and splendor.
