It is said that without seeking merit, merit is naturally accomplished, and there exists the key to the wisdom wind being liberated into clarity. Therefore, the incoming and outgoing breaths should be done very slowly, without applying force from the outside, but rather holding the breath slightly outward for a longer duration. The sign of its accomplishment is the cessation of the flow of channels and breath, thereby ceasing the flow of thoughts, and the mind abiding in the unwavering expanse of reality. Like this, abandoning the activities of body, speech, and mind, focusing on the essential points, and relying on the essential points of the doors, realms, and winds. Within the precious box of the lamp of citta-flesh, there exists the lamp of the basis of wisdom as the mode of being, symbolized by the three: essence, nature, and compassion, abiding in the form of the vase body. This very thing is the channel of the spontaneously arisen great secret, the kati crystal tube, which is white, smooth, and empty, connecting from the heart to the eyes. The root is thin and the tip is wide, the two channels resembling the horns of a Bamen sheep pierce through the center of the pupils of the eyes and pass through them. Hanging far away is the water lamp, half black and half white, possessing the nature of water, clear and bright, as its adornment, the inner radiance slightly manifesting outward, the outer space being blue and empty, like a mirror, merely a part of understanding and planning. When the unclear becomes clear, it seems as if only the understanding has been transferred, thereby opening the lamp of the inner pure expanse, which is like the face of the master. Initially, from the blue, vast light between the eyebrows, the five lights gradually emerge, like opening a five-colored brocade, or like a rainbow in the sky, inside which appear the subtle lines of the five lights. From the purified part of the wind of karma arises the lamp of the empty bindu, which symbolizes the ripples produced when throwing a stone into a clear lake or pond, appearing as having a circular, clear, bright, five-colored halo, and so on. Within it, the lamp of self-arisen wisdom, the vajra chain, which clearly appears like the mind of the master. It must be recognized through the distinction of the single essence having three modes of manifestation: experiencing the inner, extremely objectless awareness is the essence of wisdom; to this, having sharp and swift wisdom that apprehends objects, and the spontaneous arising of words and meanings is the energy of wisdom; and the awareness of higher seeing, the vajra chain, initially like tying a knot in a horse's tail, or like a pearl necklace, or like a golden thread floating or flowers

What appears like a cluster of rainbows is considered to be the radiance of wisdom. Thus, in the Root Tantra, it says: "From the precious Citta palace, the essence is pure from the beginning. The union of emptiness and clarity is the radiance of the body. Complete with face and hands, in the form of a vase body, spontaneously present, it abides in a mass of light. Compassion is clear in each individual star." Also, in the Great Perfection Tantra of the Wisdom Sphere, it says: "Connected from the heart to the eye, the self-born great secret vein has a tube of Kati crystal." Also, in the Golden Garland, it says: "The vein connected to the precious ocean, white, smooth, and hollow, is not stained by the blood of bindu. Great wisdom flows from there." Also, in the Tantra, it says: "Especially connected from the Citta, like a yak tail hair-like thread, piercing into the eye of the senses, all dharmata is the path." Also, in Rangshar, it says: "The four lamps are as follows: the lamp of the empty bindu, the lamp of the realm of awareness, the lamp of self-born wisdom, and the lamp of the far-reaching water. They abide in all sentient beings." Thus it is said.
