How to Distinguish the Nature of Suchness. How to Distinguish the Nature of Suchness. How to Distinguish Outwardly. General Explanation. Secondly, regarding how to distinguish, there are also two aspects, outer and inner. Firstly, regarding how to distinguish outwardly, there are general and specific aspects. Firstly, the general explanation is: As stated in the Tantra, "Firstly, body, speech, and mind, in order to reverse manifest clinging, one should first begin practice." As it is said, in order not to be stained by the seventh root downfall, one should secretly go to a place where there is no traffic or sight or sound of people, such as empty valleys, dense forests, or hillsides, offer a torma to the local deities, and request that they do not hinder the activities of indulgence. In order to cut off all the illusions of samsara arising from karma and conditions, one should outwardly distinguish between the nature of samsara and nirvana. That is, in order to accomplish the benefit of all sentient beings who are like mothers and equal to the sky, one should distinguish between the three doors of karmic appearance samsara and the nature of nirvana, and with the firm intention of never returning to samsara, one should engage in various activities of the three doors with a determined mind, manifesting a state of fatigue, and observing the nature of complete satisfaction and subsequent awareness, thereby obtaining rest. How to Distinguish Specifically. Secondly, the specific way to distinguish is: As stated in "After the Past," "In order to do the preliminary of the body, practice various behaviors of the six realms, and also practice the behaviors of the Three Jewels. In order to do the preliminary of speech, utter various sounds of the six realms, and also practice various forms of peaceful and wrathful sounds and the sounds of the elements. In order to do the preliminary of mind, take the suffering of the six realms into the mind." As it is said, and in accordance with this, in "Complete Transformation" it says, "The body is walking and sitting, bending and various illusions, extending limbs and contracting limbs, showing various actions. Manifestly accepting with the mind of memory, the form behaviors of the six realms, accepting with the mind and doing with the body." It also says, "Because the words spoken do not return, gods and nagas and yakshas and, gandharvas flesh-eating ghosts and Ishvara, the sounds are good and bad distinctions spoken. In short, the sounds of the six realms of beings, remembering and thinking in the mind and speaking in the mouth." It also says, "Buddha's sons

From one of the Tantras: "Joy and displeasure, happiness and suffering, permanence and impermanence, and so on; the thoughts of view, meditation, and conduct; Dharma and non-Dharma, and so on; desire, hatred, and ignorance; virtue and non-virtue, and so on; perform various kinds of thoughts and actions." As it is said, with the body, imposing upon oneself the suffering of the heat and cold of the hell beings, the hunger and thirst of the pretas, the labor of the animals, the fighting of the asuras, the falling from heaven of the gods, and so on, and the various postures and actions of the six realms; from the way of generating the mind of enlightenment at the beginning, until becoming Buddha and teaching the Dharma, and the activities between passing into nirvana and the teachings remaining, and the various activities of the retinue with lineage; and also running and jumping, walking and sitting, extending and contracting limbs, contracting and stretching, and so on, various trul khor; trembling, dancing, jumping; peaceful and wrathful postures; playing with songs, dances, and music, and so on, doing whatever actions come to mind, thereby causing weariness and fatigue. With the speech, making the sounds of the hell beings, "Atsa tsa, achu chu, anana, kyehu," and so on; the pretas' "I am hungry, I am cold, I am thirsty, I have nothing," and so on; the animals' "U" and "Bu" and "Ba" and "Vam" and "Am," and so on; the crying of humans and lamentations, and words of sorrow, and so on; the asuras' "Hit" and "Kill" and "Cut" and "Stab," and so on; and the gods' songs and dances, and so on; at the end of joyful words, saying, "The tree is dry, the spring is dry, where did the friend go, the horse is dead, the cow is lost, do I smell bad, if I die will I fall into the lower realms, kyehu," and so on, the various sounds of the six realms, and the sounds of the four elements, and Dharma-related words such as debating, and the peaceful and wrathful mantra melodies, vajra songs, and fierce laughter, HUM HUM PHAT PHAT, and so on, various clamorous sounds and expressions of speech, thereby training the skill. With the mind, imposing upon oneself all the sufferings and happiness of those various beings, from their respective directions, and experiencing them oneself. Liking and disliking, happiness and suffering, attachment and hatred, permanence and impermanence, and so on, whatever virtuous and non-virtuous thoughts come to mind, forcibly generating and withdrawing various kinds, thereby causing satisfaction. Especially from beginningless samsara, countless lifetimes
