Cold, I'm thirsty, I don't have, etc., and the sounds of animals, the sounds of insects, baa, waṃ, aṃ, etc., and the sounds of human crying, groaning, sad words, etc., the sounds of fighting of asuras, cut, chop, hit, stab, etc., and the songs and dances of gods, etc., after words of joy, the tree is dry, the spring is dry, where did the friend go? The horse died, the cow is lost, do I smell bad? If I die, will I fall into the lower realms? Alas, wuwu, etc., the sounds of each of the six realms, and the sounds of the four elements, and the words of Dharma such as debate, and the peaceful and wrathful mantra sounds, the vajra song, and the fierce laughter, Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ), Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ), Phaṭ (Tibetan: ཕཊ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: Phaṭ), Phaṭ (Tibetan: ཕཊ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: Phaṭ), etc., the various expressions of noisy sounds and speech, practice by uttering these sounds. In the mind, load all the collections of suffering and happiness of each of these from their respective directions onto one's own continuum and experience them personally. Whether it is liking or disliking, happiness or suffering, attachment or hatred, permanence or impermanence, etc., whatever good or bad thoughts come to mind, forcibly generate various kinds of scattering and gathering, thereby achieving complete satisfaction. In particular, from beginningless samsara, having taken countless rebirths, from each and every body, experiencing the suffering of the forms and behaviors of each of the six realms is inconceivable. The sound uttered by the tongue also becomes the cause and condition for duality. If this mind is recognized, it is no different from the mind of the Buddha, but because it is dominated by ignorance, it wanders in samsara, and even though it experiences so much of the cause and effect of suffering, it is completely meaningless. This very serious confusion is because of not distinguishing between samsara and nirvana. Now it is necessary to distinguish them and make a firm determination not to wander in samsara again. When the three doors show signs of fatigue and weariness, look at the nature of awareness and rest. By practicing like this again and again, if the feeling of having no body arises, and there is no attachment to the body, and there is no negation and affirmation, no heat and cold and sickness, no suffering of hunger and thirst, etc., then that is the sign of the body distinguishing between samsara and nirvana. The sign of speech is that understanding arises from the guru's instructions, without deliberately clinging to the meaning of the words, but spontaneously generating the wisdom of meditation, thereby making it easy to understand the meaning of the words of the instructions, that is the sign of speech distinguishing between samsara and nirvana. The sign of mind is clarity.
