First, showing the distinction is as follows: From the *Prasaṅgika*: \"If Saṃsāra and Nirvāṇa are not distinguished, then the connection through body, speech, and mind in the three realms will not be severed. Therefore, it is taught that Saṃsāra and Nirvāṇa should be distinguished.\" This means that the nature of the three doors of sentient beings is primordially and naturally pure, but temporarily obscured by the clinging to appearances that are suddenly mistaken. Therefore, from beginningless time, they wander and roam in the six realms, experiencing the inconceivable forms of the body, expressions of speech, thoughts of the mind, and ways of experiencing suffering of each of the six realms. Yet, they still cling and are attached, so what is to be done? Therefore, one must distinguish between Saṃsāra and Nirvāṇa, so that from now on, the root of being born in Saṃsāra is severed. As it is also said in another tantra: \"From conceptualization comes conceptualization, and from existence comes existence. Just as water enters the ear, it should be drawn out by other water. First, regarding the manner of external distinction, there are two aspects: general and specific. First, the general explanation is as follows: From the *Teachings to the Son*: \"In order to reverse the manifest clinging of body, speech, and mind, one should first engage in practice.\" As it is said, in order not to be stained by the seventh root downfall, one should secretly go to a deserted valley, a deep forest, a mountainside, or other places where there is no human traffic or seeing and hearing. Having offered a torma to the local earth deity and requested them not to create obstacles to extravagant behavior, one should externally distinguish between Saṃsāra and Nirvāṇa in order to cut off all the mistaken appearances of Saṃsāra arising from karma and conditions. Thus, in order to accomplish the benefit of all sentient beings who are like mother sky, one should distinguish between the three doors of karmic appearance, Saṃsāra, and Nirvāṇa with a determined mind, thinking that one will not turn back to Saṃsāra from now on, and engage in various activities of the three doors with diligence." } ] ============================================================

Manifesting various forms, observe the nature of the subsequent wisdom that brings about great satisfaction, and rest for a while. The Manner of Differentiating Second, the manner of differentiating. From "After the Past": "For the body's preliminary action, perform various actions of the six realms. Also perform the actions of the Three Jewels. For the speech's preliminary action, utter various sounds of the six realms. Also practice the sounds of peace and wrath, and the sounds of the elements, and various forms themselves. For the mind's preliminary action, take the suffering of the six realms to heart." Thus it is said. In accordance with this, in the "Refutation": "The body is walking and sitting, contracting and various magical circles, extending and retracting limbs, showing various actions. Taking it manifestly with the mind of mindfulness, the actions of the forms of the six realms, take with the mind and do with the body." And: "Because what is said cannot be reversed, the sounds of gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, flesh-eaters, and all-pervading ones, speak of the distinctions of good and bad. In short, the sounds of the six realms, remember and think with the mind, and speak with the speech." And: "From the lineage of the only son of the Buddha: joy and displeasure, happiness and suffering, permanence and impermanence, and so on, the thoughts of contemplation and practice, and dharma and non-dharma, and so on, desire, hatred, delusion, and virtue and non-virtue, and so on, do various thoughts and actions." Thus it is said, therefore, with the body, endure the heat and cold of hell beings, the hunger and thirst of pretas, the servitude of animals, the fighting of asuras, the falling of gods, and other sufferings, and impose upon oneself the various postures and actions of each of the six realms, from the way of generating the mind of enlightenment at the beginning, until becoming a Buddha and teaching the Dharma, and the actions between passing into nirvana and the continuation of the teachings, and perform the various actions of the retinue with lineage, and also run and jump, walk and sit, extend and retract limbs, contract and stretch, and other various magical circles, tremble, dance, jump, peaceful and wrathful postures, singing, dancing, and other games, and do whatever actions one can think of, thereby becoming weary and tired. With speech, utter the sounds of hell beings: "Atsa tsa, achu chu, ana na, kye hud," and so on. The sounds of pretas: "I am hungry, I am thirsty."
