Crows are superior to humans. It is said that on the sandy land between Ra Zong and Drak Gyab, last year a crow plucked out the heart of an owlet and killed it. This year, the owl also killed the crow's chick in the same way as before. In terms of cleverly dealing with enemies, all bedbugs are superior to humans. They torment snakes from their holes, like sticking reeds into the vital points of snakes. It is said that arrogance and high-handedness are superior to humans, and even the elephants that appeared in Vajrasana (Bodh Gaya) have them. It is said that once a large gathering was held, the day before, an immature king rode an immature elephant and appeared, crossing the market. The next day, both of them were mature and crossed the market. The former elephant returned to its own place. After a few days, it trampled grass and water, and its hooves dried up. The latter elephant lay down without thinking and struck the former elephant's shoulder blade with one tusk. Then it struck again from the front, breaking the shoulder blade. It is said that this story is a teaching of Jowo Rinpoche. Therefore, all of us who pursue hope are no different from animals, and we should think about these things carefully. Geshe Kyilbuwa said: During this time, one should guard one's own continuum and vow to practice the Dharma. If people joke with a Bhikshu Bodhisattva, their situation becomes no different from that of animals. Even with such effort, one does not gain even a speck of dust from this life. One should repeatedly think that the afterlife is infinite. Where one's mind is focused, and whether one possesses the meaning of life, thinking in this way, one should fold one's ten fingers and place them on one's chest to contemplate. If one does not possess it, it is very important to generate the meaning of life in one's own continuum in any way possible. Therefore, when generally showing the characteristics of the three types of individuals who are the basis for practice, Geshe Tonpa presents it in a way that resembles establishing the body of a treatise, as if to explain the order of entering into it. Geshe himself said: These are all the instructions of my guru, so I will not speak of them everywhere. Now the Dharma is also about to decline, and I, this old man, am about to die. He said this many times in the assembly, meaning: If one can find disciples who can be guided, then a virtuous friend who is capable of guiding disciples should guide them. First

Oh, because this is the method to accomplish Buddhahood, it is necessary to guide practitioners to meditate on the extreme fear of samsara. Without this foundation, any previous practice will not be beneficial. It's like building a castle on ice, which looks strong in winter, but collapses once it melts. Similarly, without this foundation, other Dharmas may seem very good when the conditions have not matured. But once the conditions mature slightly, they will immediately collapse and disintegrate. Likewise, through practice, fear of poverty and fear will arise, thereby seeking refuge. Just as one's own castle is strong, but surrounded by armies, without fear, the mind of seeking refuge will not arise. Once such a mind arises, one must guide practitioners to meditate on the great qualities of the Buddha and the Three Jewels as the refuge, because as a refuge, one must abandon all faults and perfect all virtues. Moreover, this is not something that one's own nature does not possess, especially as it is said in "Praise of the Holy One": "I abandon other teachers and seek refuge in you. That is because you have no faults and are perfect in virtue." As it is said, therefore, through deep faith in this, one takes refuge, abandoning all discriminations such as worldly names and lineages, and giving rise to the single thought of "I am a Buddhist disciple." At this time, it is the moment to generate the vows of taking refuge, so one receives the vows and learns what should be learned, so that one can become a true Buddhist disciple. Even in jest, Atisha would not accept sectarian bias. Geshe Tonpa also said that there should be no sectarian discriminations. Having become a Buddhist disciple in this way, the refuge will protect with the Dharma, so one must guide practitioners to meditate on the law of cause and effect. After gaining certainty about this, "Whatever is driven by desire, hatred, fear, or ignorance will not transgress the Dharma." In this way, when the thought arises that none of the four inversions will transgress the Dharma, it is the moment to generate the vows of a lay devotee, so the vows must be conferred. If, in order not to transgress desire, one abandons a small sin, one can obtain the throne or half of the throne, and if one does not abandon it, one cannot obtain it, but one will not kill for this purpose. If there is genuine faith in karma, it will definitely be so. Because one has not taken vows, even a small animal
