Thus it is said. The time is the time of life, the time of view, the time of afflictions, the time of sentient beings, and the time when the five degenerations are rampant. In all pure lands, there are no lower realms, women, hearers, solitary Buddhas, the three vehicles, and even the sound of the Great Vehicle Secret Mantra is not heard. Only the path of ease, the easy vehicle, the great easy vehicle, and the single path of the Paramitas can be learned. Sentient beings are only fully matured Bodhisattvas who have attained the ground and beyond. Therefore, we are under the power of the Bhagavan's accomplishment of aspirations. In general, the continuum and appearance of sentient beings are pure and impure. Even if people from Sukhavati come here, they still have the appearance of their own Sukhavati. Even if we are sent to Sukhavati, we will still have the appearance of this place. If the appearance is pure, then the vision of the pure ones is also pure. Because the Buddha's vision is completely pure, the Buddha land is also completely pure. As it is said. As it is said in the Sutra of the Fortunate Aeon, in general, a thousand Buddhas will appear in this fortunate aeon, and our teacher, the Bhagavan Shakyamuni Buddha, with his supreme compassion, like a wish-fulfilling jewel, first generated the supreme mind of enlightenment, in the middle, accumulated merit for countless aeons, or thirty-three aeons, or endless time, and finally, according to his previous aspirations, at the time when the life of the beings of this fortunate aeon was decreasing, at the age of one hundred years, at the time when the five degenerations were abundant, he was born into the Shakya clan, and resided in the center of the essence of the earth, the Vajra Throne, and at night he subdued billions of demons with the samadhi of loving-kindness, and at dawn he manifested the wisdom free from defilements, and how he turned the wheel of Dharma, also from the mouth of Sharawa himself, in terms of the common vehicle, after the Bhagavan attained perfect enlightenment, in order to cherish and regard the holy Dharma as precious, he did not turn the wheel of Dharma for forty-nine days, and remained in the place of exhortation, and all the Buddhas of this fortunate aeon were requested by Brahma to turn the wheel of Dharma.

Having offered a golden wheel with a thousand spokes and made supplications, the Blessed One went to the Deer Park at Ṛṣipatana in Vārāṇasī and turned the Wheel of Dharma of the Four Noble Truths in three rounds and twelve aspects for the Group of Five Excellent Ones. The reason for first teaching the sacred Dharma to the Group of Five Excellent Ones was that when the Blessed One became the power of King Loving-kindness, the Group of Five Excellent Ones became five yakṣas who, with evil intent, planned to kill him, so they took his flesh and blood, and they were satisfied by that. They said, 'We have caused you suffering, please forgive us.' Furthermore, just as you bestow favors on the ministers, please bestow your commands on us as well. When you have attained the nectar, please share it with us as well.' In response, he said, 'If this were harmful to me, I would not tolerate it. But this is beneficial to me, not harmful, so do not worry that I will not tolerate it.' Furthermore: 'Know that I am pleased with that. You should avoid taking life like poison. Abandon attachment to others' wealth and wives, abandon lying and fondness for alcohol.' Having said this, he bestowed the five lay precepts. Now it is said that the one who bestows the vows must also be a monk. Here, a householder king bestowed them. Previously, when Zhang Sengge Gyaltsen came to request a single upavāsa vow, he said, 'Bring the ritual text.' Then he said, 'This letter says to invite a monk.' It does not say to invite a layperson. He said, 'It seems I will not come.' It is said that a layperson and a śrāmaṇera cannot bestow vows in a place where there are no monks, or even in a place where there are monks. Then, the noble Asaṅga said that in order to be certain that rebirth occurs even with one utterance, one should say it three times. But here it is said that rebirth occurs with one utterance. Here it is also said that non-humans also receive the prātimokṣa vows. Then, in response to the third request: 'Having given such help at the time of the cause, how could it be forgotten at the time of the result? This nectar of the Dharma of liberation, I will share with you first.' It is said that this was promised. Then, there are no signs on Vulture Peak and other places.
