One instruction for meditating on a single cushion. Relying on the oral instructions of the lama, write it down as your own notes. When the first light of dawn appears, until the sun rises, it is the so-called Ro-hi-ta time. At that time, get up and regulate the breath. Sit on a soft cushion, either in the lotus position or in a comfortable posture, and meditate on the inseparability of appearance and emptiness. In that state, recite Oṃ, Āḥ, Hūṃ, and contemplate the emanation of the self-sound of emptiness. Recite it once yourself, and generate the palace and cushion of the meditation. Recite it again, and contemplate the principal deity, the father and mother, or together with the retinue, generate the complete form. Recite it again, and clearly generate the ornaments and attire, emanate light from Hūṃ, and with Ā-be-śa-ya Āḥ, dissolve the wisdom being, and bless the body, speech, and mind. Then, in the heart, generate an eight-petaled lotus with a pericarp. On the lotus petals are Kā-li, and on the pericarp within are the seed syllables of Ā-li. Within the pericarp, in the four directions, are Ṛ, Ṝ, L, Ḷ. In the center of the middle is a red dharma origin, and inside, contemplate a white Āḥ, like a piece of broken glass. On the same cushion, practice the five wisdoms, first performing the vajra recitation, without suppressing the exhaled breath. At the point where the breath returns inward, slightly suppress the subtle breath, and diligently meditate. When exhaling, it is Hūṃ, when inhaling, it is Oṃ, and when abiding, it is Āḥ, focusing on the white to meditate. If you cannot hold your breath, then slightly release the breath. Meditating with such focus, like the sun in the clouds, sometimes clear, sometimes unclearly shining light. Then, focusing on Āḥ, grasp the mind, and focus the mind on it. Then, gradually reduce Āḥ, making it thinner and thinner, contemplating it as a medium-sized white needle. Then, focus the mind on something as subtle as the tip of a hair. Relying on it, practice the illusory body. Then, the tip of a hair divided into a hundred parts is also unattainable, entering into luminosity. When awareness flashes, focus the mind on it. When it naturally dissolves into luminosity, the wisdom of awareness manifests as luminosity, which is the realization of one part of union (zung-'jug). If realization arises from luminosity, then when everything appears without inherent existence, the grasper and the grasped, and both the grasper and the grasped, as well as the mind and mental factors, all realize emptiness and luminosity, which is union. When rising from meditation, starting from the extremely subtle Āḥ, to the tip of a hair, then Āḥ, then rise as the form of the deity, and engage in daily activities. Grasp the mind from the outside. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First, KALI, then focus the mind on AALI, from there clearly transfer to RIRI, then focus on AA. After focusing on this, break down AA, and meditate on becoming more and more subtle until emptiness as before. If the mind is controlled by the three appearances, that is the expansion of appearances. If the mind is combined with the three emptinesses, at the time of AA it is emptiness, at the time of the stick it is great emptiness, and at the tip of the hair it is very great emptiness. The three purities are also combined with this. The state of the eighty natures is: during the Vajra recitation, thirty-three cease; when focusing on the mind, forty cease; and during the illusory body, seven cease. Like this, the five stages Meditate on the same cushion, and then meditate on transference as a practice. The Lama said this. The instruction for meditating on the five stages on the same cushion. Illusory Body Dakini of Space Treasure Illusory Body Dakini of Space Treasure. Homage to the noble Lamas! The lineage instruction of the great Naropa is: During the secret empowerment, on a spotless mirror, perfectly draw Vajrasattva, his image is similar to appearance. This instruction should be given by the teacher. In a half-sided room, make good preparations for the face, etc., and place a copper vessel filled with paint in the center. Place four old mirrors and four blunt swords in the four directions. In the east side of this room, leave a square hole. In the west side, hang a cloth on which is drawn the image of Vajrasattva, body color white, one face and two arms, holding a vajra and bell. Then, in the morning when the sun rises, the sunlight from the eastern hole shines on the image of Vajrasattva in the west, and his light shines on the paint, mirrors, and swords, so that the entire room is filled with illusory images of Vajrasattva, appearing but without inherent existence. Then the teacher shows this to the disciple and teaches: You should meditate like this on the image of Vajrasattva, appearing but without inherent existence. The disciple should meditate like this: in meditation, meditate on the illusory image of Vajrasattva; in post-meditation, meditate on all things and actions as illusory. Meditating like this, whether in meditation or post-meditation, the wisdom of self-awareness will not give rise to even a moment of clinging to reality, but will realize that it is like an illusion, appearing but without inherent existence, This is the perfection of illusion. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
