There are three aspects: definition (ངེས་ཚིག), classification (དབྱེ་བ), and necessity (དགོས་པ). Among these, the essence of Kyerim (བསྐྱེད་རིམ, Generation Stage) is: the Sambhogakaya (ཟུང་འཇུག, Union) deity's form (ལྷའི་སྐུ). The definition is: because it is generated in stages, it is called Kyerim. The classification is: there are four ways of generation, namely the four kinds of generation based on the four objects of purification (སྦྱང་གཞི་) as the condition of action, and the four ways of generation based on the four purifying actions (སྦྱོང་བྱེད) as the condition of action. The necessity of Kyerim is: it is more excellent than the Paramita Vehicle (ཕ་རོལ་ཏུ་ཕྱིན་པའི་ཐེག་པ), it can transform the ordinary body, elements, and the conceptual thoughts of the senses, in the intermediate stage it accomplishes the realization of Union, and ultimately it causes the two Kayas (སྐུ་གཉིས) to arise for the benefit of others. The essence of Dzogrim (རྫོགས་རིམ, Completion Stage) is freedom from elaboration (སྤྲོས་བྲལ). The definition is: because it is complete, it is called Dzogrim. The classification is: with signs (མཚན་བཅས) and without signs (མཚན་མེད), two types. The necessity of Dzogrim is: it is more excellent than Kyerim, it directly reveals wisdom (ཡེ་ཤེས), and ultimately it causes the attainment of Dharmakaya (ཆོས་སྐུ). As the venerable Lama (བླ་མ་རྗེ་བཙུན) said: 'The best is to instantly remember the completion stage, the middle and lower ones practice the ritual in stages.' It should be practiced like a rainbow, it should not be practiced to the point of exhaustion. Faith is very important. Also, Rinpoche (རིན་པོ་ཆེ) said: 'Faith is very important.' Seeking a virtuous friend (དགེ་བའི་བཤེས་གཉེན) is also faith, there are three kinds of faith: the best is to cultivate the faith of trust (ཡིད་ཆེས་པའི་དད་པ), the middle is to cultivate the faith of desire (འདོད་པའི་དད་པ), and the lowest is to cultivate the faith of joy (དང་བའི་དད་པ). The faith of trust arises from trusting in cause and effect. The faith of desire arises from relying on the Four Noble Truths. The faith of joy arises from relying on a special object. In order to make faith firm, a virtuous friend is also needed. If there is no virtuous friend, faith will meet with sinful friends. Therefore, a virtuous friend is very important. The Perfectly Enlightened Buddha (ཡང་དག་པ་རྫོགས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས) said: 'Distorting the Tantra (རྒྱུད་དཀྲུགས), collecting scriptures (ལུང་བཅུས), hiding the instructions (མན་ངག་གབ).' In the Tantra, first explain what should be expressed, then explain the Completion Stage, then explain the Generation Stage, then explain the Seven Limbs (ཡན་ལག་བདུན་པ), this is the act of distorting the Tantra. The great Kampa masters (སློབ་དཔོན་ཁམས་པ་ཆེན་པོ) said that there are treatises that collect scriptures and treatises that explain scriptures. Treatises that explain scriptures are commentaries and ṭīkā (梵文,ṭīkā,commentary), etc. Treatises that collect scriptures are sadhanas, which is the act of hiding the instructions. Even if one practices as the Buddha said, without a Lama, blessings will not arise. The nature body of all Buddhas (སངས་རྒྱས་ཀུན་གྱི་རང་བཞིན་སྐུ), I prostrate to the Lama (བླ་མ་) (ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ). Thus it is said, prostration (ཕྱག་ཀ) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First offer to the Lama (Teacher), because the Lama and the Buddha are inseparable. It is said in 'The Lama and Vajradhara are Inseparable': 'The Lama is Vajradhara, do not consider them as different.' The Nature of Mind Furthermore, Rinpoche said: The nature of mind has three aspects: essence, nature, and function. The nature of mind refers to the unconditioned that is naturally pure and pervades all of samsara and nirvana. The essence of mind refers to the awareness that has no arising or ceasing. The characteristic of mind refers to the various appearances of habitual patterns. So, what should we meditate on? Meditate on the essence of mind. That is, the mind of the perfectly enlightened Buddha, the mind of the Bodhisattva, the self-knowing awareness of sentient beings in the six realms, which is clear and uninterrupted. Although we are always accompanied by it because our obscurations have not been exhausted, we have never seen its face. Or rather, it is easy, there is no need to look for it elsewhere. It is within oneself, it is what is called 'my mind'. It is not about looking at various characteristics, but the essence is unadulterated, naturally clear, and simply in a state of singleness. In general, those practitioners must wander everywhere until they recognize this. If you cannot be liberated this time, then you can only say goodbye to the precious human body, and then lament and fall into the lower realms. Therefore, practice from the bottom of your heart. It is like the virtuous teacher said, even if you cut open my heart, there is only a piece of bright red. You must put down all the affairs of this life from the bottom of your heart and strive to practice. You must be very careful about karma and its effects. I am called a yogi, but I am very careful about karma and its effects. This is the teaching of a virtuous teacher, the oral instruction of my lamas. If you are careless about karma and its effects, then you have not grasped the key point of practice. Even if you say that your view is high, it is useless. We should not create evil deeds, and we should not despise the Dharma. These two points are very dangerous, like falling into an invisible cliff, which is the root of cutting off all roots of virtue. Therefore, life is short, and in these few years, months, and days, we must accomplish something meaningful. If you practice from the bottom of your heart, it will not take a long time to become a Buddha.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
