The father went before Tilopa. There, Lama Naropa had a little compassion. Because there would be a debate tomorrow, he didn't help. Tilopa said, 'You are by my side, you have disobeyed my orders. Now when you debate, point your finger at him and then debate.' Then, the next day, when they gathered for the debate, just by pointing his finger at him, all the heretics trembled. Many heretics were defeated and converted to Buddhism. Also, a very large ox died in the north, and the corpse rotted, and everyone in the north said that diseases would occur, and people were filled with sorrow. Naropa said, 'Villagers, dig a pit that is big enough to hold the corpse. Then perform the wind-mind entry (藏文：རླུང་སེམས་གྲོང་འཇུག，梵文天城体：，梵文罗马拟音：，汉语字面意思：wind-mind entry) ritual, enter the body of the ox, carry the corpse of the large ox into the pit, and then the master himself enters.' Also, when Naropa was bathing, he placed the Ashtana protection wheel on the shore, and a crow carried it away. Naropa pointed his finger at the crow and looked at it, and the crow froze. This is a sign of accomplishing the task. Then, he went to the Puspahari monastery in the forest and practiced for twelve years, gaining the ability to practice asceticism. Once, when the master Shantipa and his disciples were holding a tsokhor (gathering), they sent someone to deliver the Torma (offering), and a naked yogi was sitting on the Torma platform, and he was frightened and ran home and told about it. The master said, 'I will go and see.' Saying that Naropa was a great man. The disciple asked him what he had come here for, and he said, 'Do people like you also hold tsokhor? This is an indication that the host of the tsokhor should be like me.' Also, once, when a Pandita who was proficient in the five sciences was staying there with his retinue, Naropa and his disciples also went there. The Pandita asked Naropa to give teachings, and Naropa said, 'Although you are a great scholar, I am a practitioner, and the practitioner should give teachings to the scholar.' The Pandita was very happy. In the evening, there was the sound of a flute, and the Pandita dreamed that he was making Torma, and the next day Naropa had already left.
