Since it is impossible to succeed in nine ways, one should carefully discern in one's mind and make one's speech consistent with everyone. One should speak gently, and sometimes use the strategy of a cat. No wise person would blame an action that has skillful means. A hunter kneels down on both knees, bends his limbs, hums like a pig, and sings a sweet song, wouldn't he be able to kill a deer? Do not mix the desires of the rich, the wise should always strive to avoid. Do not despise the lord and his retinue just because they are far away. According to the rules, a capable minister, in order to nurture all the people, the king alone should personally inspect all the lands. Wherever a king is, his subjects are concerned about good and bad, that place is called having a king. Therefore, value those. Wherever a king is, his subjects are not concerned about good and bad, wise people should not rely on the teachings of those kings. Even a small person with merit can obtain great convenience in the world. Even if only a part of the moon is left, it will be covered by the powerful Rahu. Any wise and imprudent person, it is brave to escape and flee from his position. Just like the deer king escapes from an unclean place. Not considering good and bad important matters, disguising oneself like a fool is not brave. What is the use of offering on a meaningless hundred-yojana cliff? Even if one has merit, one will not necessarily obtain great fame. The cool moonlight will not meet with a lotus pond. Who does not praise the skillful poet who can give help in the end? Who would eat those delicious foods that would disturb the body? Wise people, even if it sounds unpleasant, accept beneficial advice like medicine. After a while, those will also become like true nectar. Whatever treatise is composed that does not conform to logical reasoning, it will not achieve its purpose, just like a fire offering without Regarding these two, faults and merits, if one is proficient in one of them, and then begins to do what needs to be done, then faults will turn their back on him. Holding the words of a friend tightly in one's heart, those are not beautiful, like a rotten tree trunk eaten by worms.

Those who speak sweetly but harbor different intentions in their hearts are like tigers in deer skins, and cannot be trusted. If one's life is not a cause for fame and joy, and if one cannot benefit the next life, what is one in both worlds? Wherever one is born, wherever one ends, one should not abandon one's efforts. Without effort, sesame oil cannot be obtained from sesame seeds. Do not befriend everyone, as excessive closeness can be harmful. Who would want to use a tree without a core? Who is generous, wise, brave, truthful, pure, and grateful? Wealth and friends will always follow him like a shadow. Even an elephant in the forest, bound and controlled by ropes, is due to the power of skill and abiding in the right path. A lord or minister who only cares for his own interests and does not rely on servants and attendants will eventually despair like a fox, just like a lion craving flesh. Do not rely on those who do not appreciate good deeds as servants and attendants. Even with diligent cultivation in saline soil, a bountiful harvest cannot be obtained. Excessive accumulation of wealth will eventually be tormented by decline. Just as a place full of thatch and dirt will be burned, whoever can nourish beings is the one who truly demonstrates action. Who would feed a baby breast milk without a place to rest? Never associate with those who harbor jealousy. Just by eating a little, Rahu Rāhu) can devour the sun. A task that one cannot accomplish through effort cannot be done even if others force it. Who would jump into the fire to make offerings just by saying "Good, good"? By all means, do those things that have not made me mute, secretly teach these students, will they become ministers? It is better to do what poverty allows than to be idle. A leper says he will jump into the fire, is that someone else's medicine? The way that does not cause suffering in this life or the next should be practiced for a long time. Those who do not associate with the old and experienced will never become learned. The actions of those who are biased will quickly lose their benefits. Excessive
