It is the Vipaka result of the mother. The case of arising from a male is: engaging in sexual intercourse with the mouth and path of speech, etc., of other males. The case of arising from animals is: engaging in sexual intercourse with the path of speech, etc., of cows, sheep, goats, horses, donkeys, etc. The case of arising from young boys and girls is: engaging in sexual intercourse in the mouth and path of speech of young boys and girls who are incapable of engaging in sexual intercourse. Thus, engaging in sexual misconduct out of desire is perfected by three branches: recognizing those times, etc., as those, engaging in intercourse, and experiencing feelings that are in accordance with it. Thus, these are the three wrongdoings of karma. Lying is perfected when the basis is comprehended without error. That is, transforming perception and speaking falsely. Slander is perfected by three branches: the being to be separated, and the utterance of words of discord. Harsh speech is perfected by two branches: the basis is a sentient being, and harsh words are spoken. Frivolous speech is perfected by two branches: thinking about what is not in accordance with the Dharma, and speaking frivolous words. These are the four wrongdoings of speech. Covetousness is perfected by two branches: the basis is another's, and generating covetousness towards it. Harmful intent is perfected by three branches: the basis is a sentient being, and becoming tormented with malice towards it. Wrong view is perfected by two branches: the basis is not inverted, and generating an inverted thought about it. These are the particular branches. The common branch is called the mind as the main thing. These are the three wrongdoings of the mind. Thus, the mind that initiates, the action that follows, the basis of the action, that very thing that is contemplated, the fruit of the action, the actual thing that is practiced, and finally rejoicing afterwards. When the five branches are complete, then any non-virtue is well perfected. If all are not complete, then one should engage in whatever is appropriate to a small extent. To a small extent, the basis itself not being mistaken may be uncertain in some cases. Thus, these are the ten non-virtuous actions.

The extensive results of practicing these virtues can be understood from remembering the sacred Dharma. In brief, as the Bhagavan stated in the Noble Array of Trees Sutra: "The one who takes life leads beings to hell, leads them to the place of birth of animals, leads them to the world of Yama. Then, even if they are born as humans, they will accomplish two fully ripened results: short life and many diseases. The one who takes what is not given leads beings to hell, leads them to the place of birth of animals, leads them to the world of Yama. Then, even if they are born as humans, they will accomplish two fully ripened results: little wealth and becoming common property. The one who engages in sexual misconduct leads beings to hell, leads them to the place of birth of animals, leads them to the world of Yama. Then, even if they are born as humans, they will accomplish two fully ripened results: a loose wife and unguarded servants. The one who speaks falsely leads beings to hell, leads them to the place of birth of animals, leads them to the world of Yama. Then, even if they are born as humans, they will accomplish two fully ripened results: much slander and being deceived by others. The one who speaks divisively leads beings to hell, leads them to the place of birth of animals, leads them to the world of Yama. Then, even if they are born as humans, they will accomplish two fully ripened results: disharmonious servants and becoming bad servants. The one who speaks harshly leads beings to hell, leads them to the place of birth of animals, leads them to the world of Yama. Then, even if they are born as humans, they will accomplish two fully ripened results: hearing unpleasant words and hearing words of strife. The one who speaks idle chatter leads beings to hell, leads them to the place of birth of animals, leads them to the world of Yama. Then, even if they are born as humans, they will accomplish two fully ripened results: unrefined speech and much boasting.

English
Greed leads sentient beings to hell. It leads sentient beings to the animal realm. It leads sentient beings to the realm of Yama. Even if one is born as a human afterwards, two kinds of fully ripened results will manifest, namely, not knowing satisfaction and having great desires. Harmful intent leads sentient beings to hell. It leads sentient beings to the animal realm. It leads sentient beings to the realm of Yama. Even if one is born as a human afterwards, two kinds of fully ripened results will manifest, namely, looking for opportunities to harm and not being liked by others. Wrong view leads sentient beings to hell. It leads sentient beings to the animal realm. It leads sentient beings to the realm of Yama. Even if one is born as a human afterwards, two kinds of fully ripened results will manifest, namely, falling into bad views and becoming deceitful. It is said that these are also symbolic, and it should be understood that each of these ten non-virtuous actions has very many fully ripened results. Now, let us speak of the heaviness and lightness of these. As it is said in the Sutra of the Treasury of the Blessed One: Killing someone who is both one's father and a solitary buddha is the worst of killings. Stealing the property of the Three Jewels is the worst of taking what is not given. Committing adultery with someone who is both one's mother and an arhat is the worst of sexual misconduct. Slandering the Tathagata is the worst of lying. Causing dissension in the Sangha is the worst of divisive speech. Speaking unpleasantly to the noble ones is the worst of harsh speech. For those who wish to hear the Dharma, wishing to make them indulge in desire is the worst of idle chatter. Thinking of stealing the gains of those who have gone forth correctly and entered correctly is the worst of greed. Committing the five inexpiable sins is the worst of harmful intent. Holding extreme views is the worst of wrong views. And so on. In short.
