There is no self. When that appears, the nature of reality does not appear, and when that does not appear, the nature of reality appears. When one attends in this way properly, the bodhisattva enters into the non-conceptual wisdom. Thus, it is only the consciousness of the object. From the object, the meanings are not apprehended, and from the non-apprehension of the meanings, only consciousness is not apprehended. From that non-apprehension, both enter into the object without distinction. The distinction between the two is not apprehended. That is the non-conceptual wisdom, without object and without focus. Because all signs are not apprehended, it is the reason for the excellent distinction. Entering the ground through application is known to be of four types. Through the supreme application of aspiration, it is on the ground of practice through aspiration, which is the stage of determination. Through the application of distinct and supreme understanding, it is the first ground, which is the stage of attainment. Through the supreme application of meditation, there are six impure grounds and three pure grounds, which is the stage of recollection. Through purification to the ultimate, the activity of the Buddha is spontaneously accomplished and continuous. That is its nature, which is the stage of approaching closely. Entering into the faults, there are four faults without transformation, namely, afflictions, non-entering into the fault of being without support, and the fault of the path entering without support, and the individuals who have passed into peace, the fault of having no basis for imputation, and the distinctions of the three enlightenments, the fault of the basis for imputation. Conversely, entering into the benefits is known to be of four types. The example of the appearance of non-existent phenomena is like illusion, dream, and so on. If transformation is taken as an example, it is like space, gold, and water, and so on. A composition distinguishing between dharma and the nature of dharma.
