The Path of Yoga Meditation, Essence of Wisdom. The Path of Yoga Meditation, Essence of Wisdom. In Sanskrit: Yoga Bhāvanā Mārga. In Tibetan: The Path of Yoga Meditation. Homage to the noble Manjushri, who has become a youth! Having generated compassion for beings tormented by many sufferings and blinded by ignorance, may I also attain the state of omniscience with its fruits, and may I establish beings in that very state, thus I make the aspiration for unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment. Thereafter, one should not generate a mind with an unpurified nature of enlightenment; thus, enlightenment should be sought from one's own mind, therefore, one should first examine one's own mind. Therein, one's own mind, which is the five phrases spoken in the scriptures, should be understood as being separate from all things, abandoning the aggregates, elements, and sense bases, completely abandoning the grasped and the grasper, the equality of selflessness of phenomena, one's own mind being unborn from the beginning, and the very nature of emptiness. That which is called being separate from all things means being separate from the eternal things such as the self, which are falsely imputed by the deluded tirthikas. That which is called abandoning the aggregates, elements, and sense bases means completely abandoning the nature of existence and non-existence that is thoroughly examined by the ways of the Shravakas and others, being separate from the six sense bases such as the eye, which grasps the collection of atoms, and the six external objects such as the grasped, this is because the subtle particles are refuted. Therefore, the third phrase, the equality of selflessness of phenomena, is spoken to enter into the way of mere consciousness. Therefore, the fourth phrase, one's own mind being unborn from the beginning, is spoken, therefore, it is interdependent, therefore, it is like an illusion. That which does not arise from dependence and does not change equally from its own nature is called the ultimate nature. Therefore, because of the absence of inherent existence, it is said that one's own mind is unborn from the beginning. Depen
