The Condensed Verses on the Perfection of Wisdom, Elephant of the Directions. The Condensed Verses on the Perfection of Wisdom. Elephant of the Directions. In Sanskrit: Ārya-prajñā-pāramitā-saṃgraha-kārikā. In Tibetan: The Condensed Verses on the Perfection of Wisdom. Homage to the Bhagavati Mother, Perfection of Wisdom! The Perfection of Wisdom is non-dual, that wisdom is the Tathagata. Because it possesses the meaning to be accomplished, it is its name in the scriptures. The basis and what should be subdued, and the action, which includes meditation, and the various distinctions, signs, downfalls, and benefits, should also be truly stated. In the branch of entering for those with faith, the teacher, faculties, retinue, and place and time should also be definitely indicated. The compiler himself is the measure, for the sake of being well established in the world. Indicating with place and time, it speaks in accordance with the faculties. The speaker should be understood as the measure. Words, particles, what I have heard, and so on, all these are mentioned incidentally, but are the main meaning. Those thirty-two are the distinctions of emptiness. In the Eight Thousand, the sixteen kinds of ways of speaking in order should be known as being shown by others. Thus, according to the meaning as spoken, there is nothing incomplete in this Eight Thousand. Here, it is intended to condense the meaning of the scriptures, the meaning is just as spoken. The Thus-Gone One said, "I have not seen that Bodhisattva." He speaks of the emptiness of the inner things that can be eaten. Because form is empty by the nature of form, here also the external realms that should be eaten are prohibited. If there is no form, etc., then the meaning of its body, dwelling, and characteristics are exhausted. By what can one see and realize that, that is also an inner one, so there is none. Because the inner ones are empty, the nature is also empty. Thus, the nature of consciousness is lineage, it is the nature of love and wisdom. With no sentient beings, no birth, no cessation, etc., sentient beings and samsara are mainly emptiness, that is clearly shown. The Dharma of the Buddha and likewise the Dharmas of the Bodhisattvas, etc., with not seeing, etc.
