Because there is no conceptualization of grasping, having gone far beyond all conceptualizations, and having reached the limit of all characteristics. If, due to unskilled means, one grasps at characteristics, then until one reaches the state of all-knowingness, such as the six perfections, because one does not possess the meaning of the pure dharmas, one will fall into the state of hearers and solitary realizers, and will not attain all-knowingness, this is what is being taught. Subhuti, if someone asks, how is a person who is a Bodhisattva vehicle unskilled in means? From "He boasts of wisdom, he is arrogant with wisdom, he boasts that he possesses wisdom" to "thus boasts," it is taught that if one is unskilled in means, and practices the six perfections while the three circles are impure, and is arrogant about it, one will fall into the state of hearers and solitary realizers, and will not attain all-knowingness. Why is that? From "If those conceptualizations do not exist in the perfection of generosity" to "Why is that? Because the perfection of wisdom is the absence of perfection," it is taught that in ultimate truth, one grasps at something that does not exist as a perfection, and is arrogant about it, so one is unskilled in means. Even so, that person of the Bodhisattva vehicle does not understand going far, nor does he understand the other shore, from "not being grasped by the perfection of generosity" to "not being grasped by all-knowingness, one will fall into the state of hearers or solitary realizers, and will not attain all-knowingness," it is taught that if one does not possess means, practices the six perfections, the three circles are impure, and is arrogant about it, then because one does not possess the pure dharmas such as the six perfections, one will fall into the state of hearers and solitary realizers, and will not attain all-knowingness. Subhuti, if someone asks, is the state of hearers attained by a person of the Bodhisattva vehicle who is grasped by the perfection of wisdom and skillful means?

From "will not fall into the ground of Hearers or Solitary Buddhas, and will achieve unsurpassed perfect enlightenment," to "being fully grasped by the all-knowingness, will not fall into the ground of Hearers or Solitary Buddhas, and will also achieve all-knowingness," it is said that Bodhisattvas who possess the Perfection of Wisdom and skillful means, when practicing the six perfections, do not grasp at self and what belongs to self, and in ultimate truth, they also realize that the perfections are without inherent existence. In conventional truth, with skillful means, they do not grasp at their characteristics, and without arrogance, they practice the six perfections and so forth. They possess the meaning of the purified Dharma of the six perfections and so forth, and being fully grasped by these meanings, they will not fall into the ground of Hearers or Solitary Buddhas in the intermediate state, and will also achieve all-knowingness. Subhuti, in that way, the so-called Bodhisattva vehicle practitioner who is grasped by the Perfection of Wisdom and grasped by skillful means is grasped by all-knowingness, and will not fall into the ground of Hearers or Solitary Buddhas. Up to this point, it is a summary of the meaning explained above, stating that if one is grasped by the Perfection of Wisdom and skillful means, one will not fall into the ground of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas in the intermediate state, and will attain unsurpassed perfect enlightenment and become a Buddha. Subhuti, if a Bodhisattva vehicle practitioner is grasped by skillful means, how is it? and so on, it is said that Bodhisattvas who possess skillful means, when practicing the six perfections and so forth, practice with the three circles being completely pure, and without arrogance, these people will not fall into the ground of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, and will achieve unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. The meaning explained above is elaborated in detail in another way. Subhuti, here, the Bodhisattva vehicle practitioner first completely gives with skillful means

From "I am wise" and not generating pride, it explains that Bodhisattvas, possessing skillful means, practice the six perfections with the purity of the three spheres, and do not generate pride because of them. Why is that? Because in this way, they do not discriminate, and there are no such discriminations regarding the perfection of generosity. Why is that? Because it refers to the non-existence of the perfection of generosity, up to the non-existence of the perfection of wisdom, explaining the reason for practicing with the purity of the three spheres and not generating pride. When Bodhisattvas engage in practices such as generosity, they also do not have such discriminations, and the six perfections also have no entity in ultimate truth, therefore they are not objects of discrimination. Therefore, it shows that the three spheres are pure and there is no pride. Even so, the individual who is a vehicle of the Bodhisattva also knows that he has gone far, and also understands the other shore, but does not generate pride because of it. The reason for saying this is that all phenomena are empty of inherent existence, therefore there is neither discrimination nor what is to be discriminated. Transcending the realm of discrimination, even knowing that one has gone far, one will not be complacent because of that. From "He is upheld by the perfection of generosity" to "Being upheld by all-knowingness, he will not fall into the Hearer's ground or the Solitary Buddha's ground, but will attain all-knowingness," it explains that if, as mentioned above, the three spheres are pure and there is no pride, then because it possesses the meaning of pure dharmas such as the six perfections, it will not fall into the Hearer's and Solitary Buddha's grounds, and will obtain the benefit of attaining all-knowingness.
