This is how it is done. Having thus definitively shown the purification of all causal grounds, without explaining them in the fruition ground itself, but by way of summarizing all the grounds, the nature of the tenth ground. It is said: 'After passing through the nine grounds, with wisdom, whoever abides in the Buddha ground, he should be known as, the tenth ground of a Bodhisattva.' This means that the Hearer and other lineages, as well as those who have entered the first fruit, once-returner, once, non-returner, Arhat itself, these six, and the remaining three entrants included in the three classifications, and the Pratyekabuddhas in order: lineage, eighth, seeing, thinning, detachment from desire, having realized what has been done, Hearer, the grounds of Pratyekabuddhas, etc., and the nine kinds of Bodhisattva grounds as mentioned before, there is only one in total. Thus, after passing through the nine grounds, in the tenth ground, one can only say that the Bodhisattva is a Buddha, but not a Fully Perfect Buddha. Because it is said in the sutra: the one who abides in the Buddha ground with aspiration and wisdom should be known as the tenth ground of a Bodhisattva. For the collection of antidotes, the intermediate verse is: 'In the paths of seeing and habituation, in order to pacify the conceptual thoughts of what is grasped and what grasps, it is called eight antidotes.' This means that the conceptual thoughts of what is grasped, namely the things themselves that are completely afflicted and the two supports of the antidote, and the conceptual thoughts of what grasps, namely the two supports of the real self of a person and the imputed self of a person, are abandoned separately in the path of seeing and the path of meditation. In order to pacify the eight conceptual thoughts of what is grasped and what grasps, relying on the nature of the two truths, the difference between the two paths is only the difference of stages, which is the eight antidotes. In this way, because the accumulation of merit will definitely give rise to renunciation, the fourth is the practice of renunciation. 'For the sake of purpose and equality, for the benefit of sentient beings and effortless, and the renunciation that transcends the limits, and the renunciation of obtaining the nature, and all-knowingness, and the renunciation with the path as its object.'

That is, I, this nature of eight aspects, is called the realization of renunciation. Thus it is said, as the specifically intended purpose as stated, and the equality of all dharmas, benefiting sentient beings, spontaneously accomplished by doing all things without characteristics, the distinction of the state of being free from permanence and annihilation, obtaining all the meanings of the three vehicles, knowing all the aspects as stated, and the path of its distinction, because there is no other dharma that surpasses such a basis for renunciation, therefore, renunciation is eightfold through the non-perception of all things, thus the realization of renunciation is eightfold. From the "Ornament of Clear Realization," a treatise on the essential instructions of the Perfection of Wisdom, the commentary on the first chapter is completed. Commentary on the first chapter.
