It is a dangerous side. Then the lord of the gods, Indra, said to the venerable Subhuti, "Venerable Subhuti, by what names do Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas become attached?" Subhuti said, "Kauśika, here, Bodhisattvas are attached to the mind, attached to giving, similarly, attached to morality, attached to patience, attached to diligence, attached to meditation, attached to wisdom, attached to inner emptiness, attached to outer emptiness, attached to inner and outer emptiness, attached to the emptiness of the nature of non-things, similarly, attached to the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, attached to the noble truths, attached to the immeasurables, attached to meditation, attached to the formless attainments, attached to samadhi, attached to the doors of dharani, attached to the ten powers of the Tathagata, attached to the four fearlessnesses, attached to the four analytical knowledges, attached to the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, attached to the Buddha Bhagavan, attached to the roots of virtue generated towards the Buddha, thereby manifestly collecting these virtues, unifying, measuring, and dedicating them to unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, this is Kauśika, the attachment of Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas, therefore they cannot practice the Prajnaparamita without attachment. Why? Kauśika, because they cannot dedicate the nature of form, they cannot dedicate the nature of feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness. Similarly, they cannot dedicate the nature of the separate and combined aggregates, elements, sources, and dependent origination. Similarly, they cannot dedicate the perfections, the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, the noble truths, the immeasurables, the meditations, the formless attainments, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness,

The eight liberations, the nine successive meditative stabilizations, the superknowledges, the samādhis, the entrances to the dhāraṇīs, all emptiness, the ten powers of the Thus-Gone One, the fearlessnesses, the individual correct knowledges, and the nature of the unmixed qualities of the buddhas cannot be dedicated. Kauśika! Because the nature of all-knowingness itself cannot be dedicated, this is the contradictory side. Furthermore, Kauśika, when a bodhisattva mahāsattva wishes to correctly show, cause to take up, praise, and make rejoice others in unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment, he should correctly show, cause to take up, praise, and make rejoice others with a mind that follows accordingly as it is. When a bodhisattva mahāsattva practices the perfection of wisdom, “I give generosity, I keep ethics, I cultivate patience, I exert effort, I enter meditative stabilization, I cultivate wisdom, I practice inner emptiness, I practice outer emptiness, I practice inner-outer emptiness, I practice the emptiness of the essence of non-things,” up to “I cultivate the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, I cultivate the noble truths, I enter the immeasurables, the meditative stabilizations, and the formless meditative stabilizations, I cultivate emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, I cultivate the eight liberations, I enter the nine successive meditative stabilizations, I take up the superknowledges, I enter the samādhis, I enter the entrances to the dhāraṇīs, I

These should be meditated upon. Thus, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas should truly teach others, "I practice the Bodhi path," without giving rise to any discriminatory thoughts. They should cause others to accept, praise, and truly rejoice. They themselves will not become weary, and by causing others to accept what the Buddha has permitted to be accepted, they should cause others to truly rejoice. Kauśika, thus should Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas truly teach the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete Bodhi, cause others to accept, praise, and truly rejoice. In this way, sons or daughters of good family will completely abandon all extremes of attachment, which is the side of the antidote. Then, the Blessed One spoke to the Venerable Subhuti: "Subhuti, it is good, good that you have briefly shown these extremes of attachment to the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas. Therefore, Subhuti, I have extensively shown the subtle extremes of attachment. Listen very well and keep it in mind, and I will show it to you." The Venerable Subhuti replied to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, I will do so." Then the Venerable Subhuti listened to the Blessed One. The Blessed One said: "Subhuti, for example, any son or daughter of good family who has truly entered the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete Bodhi, if they remember the Tathagata as a sign, Subhuti, as much as it becomes a sign, that much is attachment. Furthermore, from the initial generation of the thought of enlightenment by those Tathagatas until the complete enlightenment of the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete Bodhi, and until the Nirvana without remainder, and until the abiding of the sacred Dharma, whatever good roots there are, if all of them are remembered as signs, and having remembered them, they are dedicated to the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete Bodhi, Subhuti, as much as they are remembered as signs, that much is attachment. Furthermore, the Tathagatas are free from all attachment, and those good roots that are free from all attachment, and the good roots of other sentient beings who are not so, whatever
