Furthermore, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, not with the intention associated with Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, but with the intention associated with the All-Knowingness, makes the mind one-pointed. This is the Bodhisattva Mahasattva's practice of the Perfection of Diligence, the Perfection of Concentration. Furthermore, Shariputra, when the Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Diligence, when cultivating the Perfection of Wisdom, not with the intention associated with Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, but with the intention associated with the All-Knowingness, the perception that all phenomena are like illusions abides closely. He does not become arrogant with that diligence, nor does he fixate on that diligence. Moreover, he shares that root of virtue with all sentient beings and dedicates it to the Unsurpassed, Perfectly Complete Enlightenment. This is the Bodhisattva Mahasattva's practice of the Perfection of Diligence, the Perfection of Wisdom. Shariputra, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva who thus practices the Perfection of Diligence completely upholds all six perfections. Therefore, it is called "Donning Great Armor." This is the fourth of the six armors of the Perfection of Diligence. Fifth, the Six Armors of the Perfection of Concentration. Furthermore, Shariputra, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Concentration, not with the intention associated with Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, but with the intention associated with the All-Knowingness, completely gives alms, and shares that root of virtue with all sentient beings, dedicating it to the Unsurpassed, Perfectly Complete Enlightenment. It is not through the mental activity associated with Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas, but through the mental activity associated with the knowledge of all aspects, that one guards morality, and also makes that root of virtue common to all sentient beings, and dedicates it completely to the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. This is the perfection of morality practiced by a Bodhisattva Mahāsattva in the perfection of meditation. Furthermore, Venerable Śāriputra, a Bodhisattva Mahāsattva practices the perfection of meditation, not through the mental activity associated with Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas, but through the mental activity associated with the knowledge of all aspects, completely cultivating patience, and also making that root of virtue common to all sentient beings, and dedicating it completely to the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment.
