And does not apply to consciousness, does not apply to the characteristics of form, does not apply to feelings, perceptions, formations, and the characteristics of consciousness. Does not apply to whether form is permanent or impermanent. Does not apply to whether feelings, perceptions, formations, and consciousness are permanent or impermanent. Does not apply to whether form is happiness or suffering, whether there is self or no self, whether it is peaceful or not peaceful. Similarly for feelings, perceptions, and formations, does not apply to whether consciousness is happiness or suffering, whether there is self or no self, whether it is peaceful or not peaceful. Does not apply to whether form is empty or not empty. Does not apply to whether there are characteristics or no characteristics. Does not apply to whether there are aspirations or no aspirations. Similarly for feelings, perceptions, and formations, does not apply to whether consciousness is empty or not empty. Does not apply to whether there are characteristics or no characteristics. Does not apply to whether there are aspirations or no aspirations. Does not apply to whether it is secluded or not secluded. At that time, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva should know that he is skilled in means. Why is that? Venerable Shariputra, like this, whatever is the emptiness of form is not form. There is no form other than emptiness. There is no emptiness other than form. Form itself is emptiness. Emptiness itself is form. Whatever is the emptiness of feelings, perceptions, formations, and consciousness is also not consciousness. There is no consciousness other than emptiness. There is no emptiness other than consciousness. Emptiness itself is consciousness. Consciousness itself is emptiness. Similarly, for the sense bases, realms, dependent origination, the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, the perfections, the meditations, the immeasurables, the formless absorptions, the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, and the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha.

That emptiness between the eighth is also not the Dharmas of the Buddhas. Apart from emptiness, there are no Dharmas of the Buddhas. Apart from the Dharmas of the Buddhas, there is no emptiness, emptiness itself is the unmixed Dharmas of the Buddhas. The unmixed Dharmas of the Buddhas are emptiness. Shariputra, endowed with life, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who thus practices the Perfection of Wisdom should be known as skillful in means. Eleventh fascicle. Shariputra, endowed with life, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who thus practices the Perfection of Wisdom has the opportunity to manifestly and completely awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. When he practices the Perfection of Wisdom, if he comprehends some Dharma, he does not practice the Perfection of Wisdom. If he does not comprehend, he does not practice the Perfection of Wisdom. If it is neither comprehended nor not comprehended, he does not practice the Perfection of Wisdom. If it is neither comprehended nor not not comprehended, he does not practice the Perfection of Wisdom. Shariputra said: "For what reason, Rabjor, endowed with life, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, if he comprehends, he does not practice the Perfection of Wisdom? If he does not comprehend, he does not practice the Perfection of Wisdom? If it is neither comprehended nor not comprehended, he does not practice the Perfection of Wisdom? If it is neither comprehended nor not not comprehended, he does not practice the Perfection of Wisdom?" Rabjor said: "Shariputra, endowed with life, therefore, the self-nature of the Perfection of Wisdom is not observed. Why is that? Therefore, the Perfection of Wisdom is the self-nature of non-things. Shariputra, endowed with life, for that reason, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he does not cling to the notion of practicing, nor does he cling to the notion of not practicing."

They do not comprehend. They do not closely comprehend that even if they practice, they do not comprehend it as practice, and even if they do not practice, they do not comprehend it as non-practice. They do not closely comprehend that it is neither practice nor non-practice. Why is that? Because in this way, they have understood and not abandoned all phenomena as being without inherent existence. Shariputra, endowed with life, in this way, the mind of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who practices the Perfection of Wisdom does not waver and does not waver at all. If they are not afraid, do not fear at all, and are not overcome by complete fear, then that Bodhisattva Mahasattva should be understood as being close to omniscience. This is said to be the difference between the object and aspects of great patience. The object and aspects of great patience.
