Second, the stage of understanding the path. Second, the stage of understanding the path. Detailed explanation of the branches of the wisdom of the path. By the power of the determination of equality, benefit, you say in any way that the path is equal to the sky, and so on. Taking the sky as an example, it prevents the perception that the Mahayana has a direction, so it prevents long and short, blue and yellow, etc., shapes and colors, and prevents the three times, so there is no complete affliction and complete purification, birth and death, dwelling and ending, and there is no change from dwelling to other, because of this. Among them, arising from nothing is birth, returning from existence is prevention, similar continuation is dwelling, the transformation of continuation is ending, approaching destruction and the continuation changing to other is changing from dwelling to other. Virtue and non-virtue, and non-indeterminate, etc., seeing and hearing, feeling and knowing, etc., what should be known and what should be known, what should be fully known and what should be realized, what should be abandoned and what should be cultivated. Among them, what should be known is knowing everything, what is seen by the hearers and solitary Buddhas, and after observing with wisdom, the Bodhisattva should transcend, because it is said so. Knowing everything is the wisdom of the path, so what should be known is until Buddhahood. What should be known is knowing all aspects, so it is made the object without omission. Preventing the ripening and the related dharmas, and belonging to the desire realm, etc., therefore the sky and the Mahayana are the same, approaching from the initial generation of the mind, similarly, the tenth ground and the white and pure appearance ground, etc., and the fruits from the ground of realization of what has been done to the stream-enterer fruit, etc., and preventing the hearers and solitary Buddhas and Buddhas, therefore the Mahayana is the opposite of form and what can be indicated and what has obstacles and similar possessors, etc., are all prevented, similarly, happiness and permanence and peace

Reversing from the earth, no beings, characteristics, and those with wishes are reversed, solitary, and those reversed from appearance, attainment, and near attainment, what can be said, and what can be extremely said are both prevented, therefore the Mahayana is shown to be equal to the nature of space. For the sake of the benefit of sentient beings, making a definite decision, Subhuti, you say this, just as space enlightens immeasurable and countless sentient beings, so is the Mahayana. Because sentient beings, space, and the Mahayana are also non-existent, therefore the Mahayana is the enlightenment of immeasurable and countless sentient beings. Why is that? Because sentient beings, space, and the Mahayana are unattainable. Again, sentient beings, space, and the Mahayana are immeasurable, as previously shown, the Mahayana is the enlightenment of sentient beings. Why is that? Because sentient beings and so on are unattainable. Again, sentient beings, space, and the Mahayana are countless, therefore it itself is the enlightenment of countless sentient beings. Why is that? Because all of those are unattainable. Again, the realm of sentient beings, and the realm of phenomena, and space, and the Mahayana and so on are immeasurable, and the nature of countless, therefore as previously stated, it is the enlightenment of sentient beings. Why is that? Because all of those are unattainable. Again, sentient beings, and the Tathagata, and space, and the Mahayana, and the unconditioned, and the immeasurable, and the uncountable, and the unmeasurable nature of non-existence, because all dharmas are non-existent, it itself is the enlightenment of sentient beings as previously shown. Why is that? Because those are unattainable. Furthermore, I, and sentient beings, and life and so on, and the true limit, and countless and so on, and the nature of non-existence of all dharmas, therefore it itself is the enlightenment of sentient beings. Why is that? Because it is unattainable in that way. Again, I and so on, and the inconceivable realm, and the aggregates of form and so on
