Explanation of Misconceptions Regarding Opponents and Antidotes. Explanation of Misconceptions Regarding Opponents and Antidotes. Now, since misconceptions are to be explained, regarding this, it is said: "The learned continuously debate." It is said that here, those skilled in debate go astray, and from one viewpoint to another, various elaborations of arguments are widely propagated, merely abandoning speech to eliminate actions. They initiate endless debates on verbal expressions, thus composing great lineages. How is it understood? Therefore, this is to be explained: The object is reasonable, and it is so. Self-nature is definitely grasped, as well as omniscient wisdom, ultimate truth and conventional truth, union and the Three Jewels, and the Thus-Gone One's realization with skillful means, reversal with the path, antidotes and opposing sides, as well as characteristics and meditation. The debaters' misconceptions about these, relying on omniscience, are considered to be sixteen types. It is said, this is the meaning of sixteen. Among these, the misconception of the reasonable object relying on the state of omniscience is: starting from the object to be known of the state of omniscience, the realms of conditioned and unconditioned are also without substance. Why is that? Because they are without self-nature. When others ask about the self-nature of non-substantiality, they explain it according to the self-nature of non-substantiality. As it is said: "Venerable One, why is the state of omniscience the self-nature of non-substantiality?" The Venerable One, based on the shown self-nature arising from aggregation, elucidates that all phenomena are the self-nature of non-substantiality. The misconception of the self-nature of the object is that they, such as Suchness, are essentially non-substantial. If so, from the bodhisattva's pāramitā practice to the attainment of omniscience, there is no being asked. And, Subhuti, being completely familiar with all phenomena of non-substantial self-nature, this itself is Bo-
