Explanation of the Path of Seeing Explanation of the Path of Seeing Now, since the path of seeing is to be explained, therefore, by the power of the Buddha, all the deities in each of the ten directions have mentally seen thousands of Buddhas, and the Buddhas of the Good Kalpa such as the noble Maitreya, who have flawlessly taught the Prajnaparamita. Therefore, what the Buddha has said is to make it clear that the path of seeing includes sixteen moments, and there are no other moments. To establish this, Therefore, the past Buddhas are not mentioned, in order to understand the ultimate of their teachings. Mentioning the future Buddhas is to reveal the need for the benefit of future sentient beings. The certainty of the number one thousand is to make it clear that in the Saha world, the Good Kalpa is known by the number one thousand, which is skillful means, without other additions or subtractions. What are the sixteen moments of the path of seeing? They are: suffering and other truths, dharma-knowledge and subsequent-knowledge, and the moment of wisdom itself, this is the path of seeing that understands all. This is what the Buddha said. Among them, the forbearance of dharma-knowledge of suffering is like this: starting from "form is permanent" or "form is impermanent" one should not teach the Dharma, until "all-knowingness is past," "future," or "present" one should not teach the Dharma, by stopping the reversed conceptualizations that are incompatible with the antidote, this is what the Buddha said. The dharma-knowledge of suffering is: starting from "form is extremely pure" one should teach the Dharma of extreme purity, until "all-knowingness," one should teach the Dharma of extreme purity, by allowing the non-dual conceptualizations that are spoken as such, teaching the Dharma without reversal, this is what the Buddha said. The subsequent-knowledge forbearance of suffering is: from form etc. until all-knowingness, completely pure.

Therefore, whatever is said to be the complete purity of the Perfection of Wisdom is thus. As for the subsequent knowledge of suffering, why is that? Subhuti, from the absence of arising and ceasing in form, up to the all-knowingness, it is explained by the complete purity that prevents arising, ceasing, all defilements, and purification. As for the forbearance of knowledge of Dharma regarding origination, it is: "Bhagavan, how is the Perfection of Wisdom completely pure for the sake of the complete purity of space?" From here up to the all-knowingness, the complete purity that prevents the aspects as previously stated is explained by the very nature of complete purity. As for the knowledge of Dharma regarding origination, like space, from form to all-knowingness, because there is no contamination, this is explained in the aspect of being uncontaminated. As for the forbearance of subsequent knowledge regarding origination, like space, from form to all-knowingness, it is explained in the aspect of being ungraspable. As for the subsequent knowledge regarding origination, with the example of two sounds and images, like space, from form to all-knowingness, because there are no terms, therefore, for it, it is explained in the aspect of being without terms, with the meaning of preventing the nature of terms. The example of the two sounds is for the sake of the two terms of questioning and answering by the listeners and speakers, and for the meaning of conforming to the manner. As for the forbearance of knowledge of Dharma regarding cessation, like space, from form to all-knowingness, because it is inexpressible, therefore, for it, in the aspect of well-spoken, it is explained by preventing the attainment of that meaning in other continuums, because speaking to others is well-spoken. As for the knowledge of Dharma regarding cessation, like space, from form to all-knowingness, because there is no object of focus, therefore, this is explained in the aspect of having no object of focus. As for the forbearance of subsequent knowledge regarding cessation, like space, from form to all-knowingness, with the nature of being extremely pure, there is no arising, no ceasing, and no all defilements.
