I, too, should rely on the path of the Victorious Ones and generate the supreme Bodhicitta. I take refuge in the Three Jewels! And so on. Then, one should meditate on emptiness, meditating on all phenomena as being of the nature of non-inherent existence. One should contemplate oneself as the luminous essence of the mind of enlightenment in the form of letters. To make it stable, one should recite the mantra: Om Svabhava Shuddhah Sarva Dharma Svabhava Shuddho 'Ham. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་སྭ་བྷཱ་བ་ཤུདྡྷཿསརྦ་དྷརྨཱཿསྭ་བྷཱ་བ་ཤུདྡྷོ྅ཧཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: , Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ svabhāva śuddhaḥ sarva dharmāḥ svabhāva śuddho'haṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om, nature pure, all dharmas, nature pure I.) Likewise, that form of light completely transforms, and on the lunar disc is the syllable Hūṃ. Surrounded by the sixteen vowels, A, etc. Furthermore, surrounded by the groups of letters, Ka, etc. All without exception are white in color. All of that completely transforms, and one should contemplate it as the form of a lunar disc. On top of that is the seed syllable in the form of the letter Hūṃ. That completely transforms into a yellow vajra. In the center of that vajra is the letter Hūṃ. All of that completely transforms into the form of a vajra seat, like the color of gold, its seat being the four maras, namely the aggregates, afflictions, death, and the sons of the gods, being yellow, red, black, and blue respectively, one should contemplate these forms in that order. Having contemplated the lion throne surrounded by these maras, on top of that, on the various lotuses and vajra, resides the Bhagavan, one face, two arms, seated in the vajra posture, the right hand holding the earth-touching mudra, the left hand placed in meditation posture. Wearing red robes, the peaceful essence, the yogi should meditate in this way. Then, one should generate pride: Om Dharma Dhatu Svabhava Atmako 'Ham. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་དྷརྨ་དྷཱ་ཏུ་སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་ཨཱཏྨ་ཀོ྅ ཧཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: , Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ dharma dhātu svabhāva ātmako'haṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om, dharma realm, nature, self I.) Then, to the right of the Bhagavan, visualize the Bodhisattva Maitreya, body color yellow, two arms, hair tied in a topknot, the right hand holding a jeweled fan, the left hand holding a Naga tree branch with flowers. Likewise, on the left, visualize the Bodhisattva Arya Avalokiteshvara, body color white, the right hand holding a jeweled fan, the left hand
